Something funny going on over at twitter is predictions for 2010. A poster named andilinks is pretty good... here’s a couple she did:

What was the other one? Yes, flowering plants. Flowering plants gained an advantage because australopithikins had big nasal cavities and flowers are always the way to an Ardi’s heart. That and small teeth. So apes evolved color vision and flower shops and the rest is mystery. Evolution.

This is the second evo in search of a slight to claim that they are offended on behalf of a disabled child. In each case, they were responding to a word that was first used against creationists and simply turned around on the evos (notice that I was not the first to use the word this time either). The last evo got upset because the word “evotard” was used in response to another evo using the word “cretard”. The evo flew off the handle claiming that their daughter was retarded, and that they were deeply offended. Then a few of us looked up this evo’s previous posts on FR and elsewhere, and lo and behold...the evo was caught calling creationists “cretards” and “retarded” and worse over at Darwin Central.
Ever hear that story of the boy who protested too much?...
There is an old saying that when in over your head, quit digging. If the comment was wholly justifiable why then did the moderator remove it?
To deny the insensitivity and un-Christian nature of your comments simply because some other "evo" claimed to have a retarded child makes your claim to the moral high ground in your jousting of Darwin's windmills as hollow as the false science you spew.
The really pathetic thing is that you lurk in the darkness of the internet spewing your bullsh*t and neither or c-y-c would have the balls to say something to my face or the face or the face of any other vet who has a child with a service related disability.

You sound bitter about something in life that is manifestly unfair and unchangeable at the moment.
Do you ask why God would let this happen to someone has done nothing at all to deserve it? Maybe Why me?
My chair bound friend has never walked and can only stand after several surgeries. Her father left her mother at this girl's birth some twenty years ago.
Nevertheless, she's a happy person and counts herself blessed as neither she nor her mother are angry or bitter over what has taken place in their lives.
Rather they've come to understand that the healings Jesus performed while on earth are just a taste of what he would do as King in God's Kingdom.
So this young lady is happy and has a hope for the future. I feel blessed just knowing her and her mother since my challenges in life cannot begin to equal theirs.
And what is more, neither she nor her mother feel embarrassed or needing of sympathy for her problems.
Maybe the insensitive one is you. Insensitive toward your own attitude and feelings about your daughter's problems.
Is Jesus proud of me you ask. I ask that enough I need no one else to do so. But I am able to ask.
