Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site
12/11/2009 | Jim Robinson

Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site... or so they say... and they might even be right.

We don't go for any of that godless left-wing big government socialist malarkey. And we do put our faith and trust in God, not government. We are pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Country and pro-Liberty.

We do not believe that government or science knows what's best for us or our children. We will make our own decisions thank you very much.

Every once in a while some group of posters get together and try to bend Free Republic to their will. Now, we tend to be pretty free-wheeling around here and will take a lot of guff and a lot of obnoxious insults from a lot of people, but eventually a breaking point is reached.

For example, when a group of RINO lovers recently banded together to try to force FR to accept an abortionist/gay rights RINO as our presidential candidate, they soon found themselves on the outs.

And a few years ago a group of evolutionists tried to force FR over to their way of thinking and they soon found themselves on the outs.

FR is a pro-God, pro-Creator, pro-Life, pro-Liberty site.

And now we have yet another group of Darwinists trying to have their Darwinist way with us. Well, as I've said before what doesn't kill us will only make us stronger.

Darwin Central has again declared war on FR. They have ping lists and email lists and will try to pull away as many FReepers as they possibly can. So be it. Those who would rather go with Darwin, please go. I sure as hell won't try to stop you.

FR will remain a pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-Creator conservative site.

We wholeheartedly believe that our unalienable rights are a gift from God our Creator not from man or government. And no man, no government will ever deprive us of same.

Keep your powder dry.

I’m not even a churchgoer. And I see nothing in the owner’s statement telling us that we’re not welcome.

Obviously, something happened on the CREVO threads. I’ve never heard of “Darwin Central” until now, so I googled it. There are some FReepers (or former FReepers) there, and in the old threads I found, including one from four years ago, they’re making personal attacks over there on the people here who believe in creation. They’re also posting criticisms of FR and the people who participate here.

So, it looks like trouble has been brewing for a long time, and we didn’t know about it because we don’t frequent those threads. Obviously, this fight is much more than just a debate about two theories. A group that debates on the side of evolution has been attacking from another website.

I also recognized a name over there of someone who used to post article after article here on FR about race and IQ. I can understand having an open discussion, but so many of those threads weren’t necessary. But, that’s the territory where the theory of evolution leads eventually.

I’ve always accepted the theory of natural selection as fact. I used to think the theory of evolution was just another name for natural selection. It turns out, the theory of evolution takes things further into the wrong direction - toward socialism and eugenics. Is this other group taking things that far? I don’t know.

Anyway, there’s obviously much more to the story here.

Because Moses disobeyed. Remember they were under the law. He walked w/God and he didn't return. God said 'Moses is dead' - doesn't mean He killed him. It's not said exactly what happened - I believed Moses was taken up like Elijah. God loved Moses. And so do I - powerful man of God, IMO!

But Moses, also, delayed the Jews coming out of Egypt for 30 yrs. They were to be in exile for 400 yrs - turned out to be 430 yrs.

On that note, I'm saying g'nite!

Then what is "Darwinism: synonmous with?

Are trying to say that people worship the man?

That is not true, and to say so is to insult many, many people.

If that is what you are saying, you are saying that he was the Al Gore of his age. He was not.

What are you kidding me?! I am never hostile here. In 10 years I can only think of 1 time I have been hostile. Oh, wait, I did piss Debbie Schlussel off earlier this week, but I consider that a good thing.

Tell me what little thing I have unjustifiably jumpped on somenone for tonight.

CaptRon, throughout this thread you have been short, hostile, demanding, accusatory, whiny, a complainer and just a plain Ass.

Not to mention several posts telling you to “chill out” or similar sentiments.

You said Exodus 24. Now it seems to be the Moses thing I asked you about.
Exodus 24 is about the elders of Israel SEEING G-d...even though the widely accepted story is that NO ONE EVER saw the G-d of israel, and that even Moses was not permitted to look upon him. And yet:

9
Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel;
10
and they saw the G-d of Israel; and there was under His feet the like of a paved work of sapphire stone, and the like of the very heaven for clearness.
11
And upon the nobles of the children of Israel He laid not His hand; and they beheld G-d, and did eat and drink.

12
And HaShem said unto Moses: ‘Come up to Me into the mount and be there; and I will give thee the tables of stone, and the law and the commandment, which I have written, that thou mayest teach them.’
13
And Moses rose up, and Joshua his minister; and Moses went up into the mount of G-d.
14
And unto the elders he said: ‘Tarry ye here for us, until we come back unto you; and, behold, Aaron and Hur are with you; whosoever hath a cause, let him come near unto them.’
15
And Moses went up into the mount, and the cloud covered the mount.
16
And the glory of HaShem abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days; and the seventh day He called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.
17
And the appearance of the glory of HaShem was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.
18
And Moses entered into the midst of the cloud, and went up into the mount; and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.

But I will tell you this; I don’t know why you have logged all of my posts, but if I am offensive to you I am offended by being told what I must believe to post here.
That should be in keeping with our beliefs.

Jesus never rejected the Torah or the Laws given to Moses

Of course He didn't! But He came to 'fulfill' the Law and that was His purpose in coming. Man was giving dominion over the earth (Genesis) - and God is faithful to His Word. Since 'man' was given dominion over it all on earth and 'man' gave away to satan, only a 'man' could redeem it. Since sin entered the world, only a sinless man could redeem it - and Jesus came as man for that reason.

The importance of the Old Testament should never be questioned.

Did you think I was? The Word of God is never in question - it will never change, it's the only Truth there is. May God's Word be true and every man a liar.

I didn’t judge you. It is God who judges.

I stated that you have a choice. That is all.

Hostile much?
