Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site
12/11/2009 | Jim Robinson

Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site... or so they say... and they might even be right.

We don't go for any of that godless left-wing big government socialist malarkey. And we do put our faith and trust in God, not government. We are pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Country and pro-Liberty.

We do not believe that government or science knows what's best for us or our children. We will make our own decisions thank you very much.

Every once in a while some group of posters get together and try to bend Free Republic to their will. Now, we tend to be pretty free-wheeling around here and will take a lot of guff and a lot of obnoxious insults from a lot of people, but eventually a breaking point is reached.

For example, when a group of RINO lovers recently banded together to try to force FR to accept an abortionist/gay rights RINO as our presidential candidate, they soon found themselves on the outs.

And a few years ago a group of evolutionists tried to force FR over to their way of thinking and they soon found themselves on the outs.

FR is a pro-God, pro-Creator, pro-Life, pro-Liberty site.

And now we have yet another group of Darwinists trying to have their Darwinist way with us. Well, as I've said before what doesn't kill us will only make us stronger.

Darwin Central has again declared war on FR. They have ping lists and email lists and will try to pull away as many FReepers as they possibly can. So be it. Those who would rather go with Darwin, please go. I sure as hell won't try to stop you.

FR will remain a pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-Creator conservative site.

We wholeheartedly believe that our unalienable rights are a gift from God our Creator not from man or government. And no man, no government will ever deprive us of same.

Keep your powder dry.

Of Course. It’s when you try to discredit our foundation that you may get a response or two. :^)

A family member in every war ever fought from the Revolution to Vietnam (me). You mean God?
Didn’t see him.

I told you to go ahead and keep track of my posts. Feel free. And it isn’t like I went back over 10 years, or even another thread. All of the posts listed were on this one thread, tonight. But if you want to play “cop”, go ahead, I have never posted anything I am ashamed of.

*I* am not the one who said I never posted anything hostile. YOU did. All I did was respond.

I know I have enemies on this site. I have never denied it. But again, I never claimed that i did not ever post anything hostile (as you did), nor have I mentioned (as you did), how long I have been on this site, or how much money I gave and then insinuated that other freepers didn’t “measure up”.

Is it possible to believe in Creation through evolution?

A great many of us believe that evolution is the how, but God is the Why.

I'm a deist who believes in evolution. I believe there was a creator because I refuse to abandon the notion causality. I won't accept that the universe spawned itself. Evolution has a lot of evidence to support it but doesn't replace God.

Most of the posters here have a passing familliarity with the US Constitution, the Bill of Rights, subsequent amendments, The Declaration of Independence, and other seminal concepts of a Constitutional Republic with a limited Federal Government. I'd even venture many understand the concept of checks and balances, and the idea that Rights aren't Rights unless all citizens of this nation enjoy them, equally protected under the law.

Many understand those selfsame Rights are not granted by, but at best protected under a government. Those Rights are Natural or simply put, God-given: an endowment by our Creator.

Even those who claim not to believe in a Creator (God) will deny Government the status of arbiter in what Rights they possess in contrast to the government; they see clearly the conflict of interest.

We understand the subtle difference between legal and moral actions, and understand that some things, whether fealty is paid to a deity or not, are simply wrong, and that does not change because a few people find it convenient to call wrong "right".

Yep. Any more, I'd say that places us a couple of standard deviations from the mean, at least the mean the media would have us believe exists. But if the media image of America's people is correct, it is not a measure of our deviation into some fringe, but the movement of the masses away from our position, much as the tide might ebb from an island and leave it tied to the mainland.

Conservative is conservative. Christian is Christian. Pro-life is pro-life. My beliefs have not wavered.

Only the pop culture of America has flowed away, false as water.

No one is ever hopeless.

I had two friends in grad school, both hard-core, angry atheists. I didn’t consider them hopeless.

And thank God, He turned changed their hearts, today they are both faithful Christians.

It IS, because Zipporah was NOT Hebrew. She was a Midianite, and Moses was reared as an Egyptian. Being Hebrew is governed by the blood of the MOTHER,not the father, hence the importance of sarah.
Moses was probably circumcized at birth, but did not know the Hebrew Laws, and it wouldn’t have mattered IF Zipporah had not accepted the Hebrew G-d. Gershom’s circumcision was Zipporah’s conversion and THAT is what sealed the covenant.
