I’m 58 and GW has to be the worst Republican presidnet I can ever remember. This elitist snob snubbed his nose at the American public and said basically he didn’t care what they thought of illegal immigration and that he was going to proceed with amnesty. He also started a war based on false foreign interlligence on WMD, as stated by Colin Powell. His administration went on to blame Sadaam for obtaining uranium from Africa which turned out to be a lie. For exposing the truth Valerie Plain? and her husband were demonized. His administration kept the train wreck rolling with fomenting home loans to those that could not afford to pay them back. His expansion of big government spending is well documented. I got tired of holding my nose and voting for the lesser of two evils. I left the Republican party about 10 years ago. Maybe America will wake up with the marxist Obama in power. If illegal aliens are granted citizenship the voting base for the Democrats will be to much to overcome.

Ya mean you didn’t like the conga-line of millions of Bush’s friends wandering in illegally for 8 years? During war time....

You’ll love this little Bush speech of him pimping home loans for totally unqualified minorities and no doubt illegals.

GWB was a failure. If he were a success, Obama would not be in office now.

RE :”For exposing the truth Valerie Plain? and her husband were demonized

This one I dont buy. I think Bush did mismanage things by trying to blame his invasion on the CIA, creating a huge fight between the WH and CIA. It was his job to manage this and instead we got the Scooter Libby train wreck.

But Wilson/Plane were acting as political activists with Plane claiming she was covert for political cover and in the end the WH did NOT leak her name. That was a big lie. I do blame Bush but dont consider Plane/Wilson heros'

You should give Bush credit for fully identifying Islam as being a ROP. How I hope that his friends will erect a mosque next door to his home.

LOL!!! He started a war with Iraq over 12 years on non-compliance of a surrender agreement. Sorry if you believed the MSM's single issue focus. And the uranium he never said they acquired it, just said that Iraqis had been in Niger inquiring about obtaining uranium, which is true.

doc, I diagnose you as severely confused if not delusional. Or maybe your memory’s just not as good as you remember. Go back and look at Valerie and Joe, again - start with their Vanity Fair article.

rabscuttle, You’re not sane, yourself, if you find it necessary to give a flash back to November, 2006 on this Christmas Eve. How’s the Dem majority working out for you — you elected Obama as surely as you if you’d hit his chad.

Mod, do we have to put up with this stuff?

Wow, I am almost the same age and the best president I can remember in my lifetime is the one who:

1. cut tax rates but then did NOT sign on to the largest tax increase in the history of the US to that time.

2. did not cut and run in the middle east when the Marines were attacked with a car bomb.

3. did not appoint an OConnor or even a Souter or Blackmon to the US Supreme Court.

4. did not sign an amnesty bill for illegal aliens.

But I guess is you definition of a great GOP president is raising taxes, cutting and running in the middle east, weak Supreme Court Justices and amnesty for illegal aliens, then you are right G.W. Bush was not your guy.

Valerie Plame was a desk jockey who hadn't been under cover for years.
Her hubby had her name as Valerie Plame in Who's Who.
If knowing her name were truly such a monumental crime, than why was it in Who's Who?

Bush wasn’t president 10 years ago. And while I agree on immigration policies, he did not start the Iraq War; it was ongoing; and I can’t believe you are defending Plame and her stupid hippie husband.

Dunno. I think his dad was worse. And I’d trade Obama to have Bush Senior or W back, in a heartbeat.
Hell, I’d trade Obama for Clinton (either of ‘em) without a second thought.

GWB has bequeathed us Obama, just as Gerald R. Ford, Jr., gave us Carter. Republican failure=Democrat victory at polls, then calamity. But the people can’t figure out the equation.
