If I recall, all bridges were closed for some time, so everyone headed down 101 and ended up at my house, which amazingly had no damage, just a terrified Pekingese.

Speaking of things that the San Andreas runs through, have a look here. Go to Aerial Map, and look closely for a slightly curved object that Skyline Blvd runs across just below the intersection of Crystal Springs Rd. Yes, that's a dam, and a darn old one, too.

The San Andreas fault runs right down the middle of the reservoir parallel to the dam. I used to live near there, and I always had a bad feeling about this juxtaposition.
