Sarah Palin, Enigma (Supporters having serious doubts, McCain endorsement, Kittens have NO doubt)
The New American ^ | 25 January 2010 | Bob Adelmann

Posted on 01/25/2010 9:45:18 AM PST by FrankRep

When Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin announced her support for three prominent Republicans, her Facebook statement entitled “Ride the Tide with Commonsense Candidates” resounded with laudibles such as supporting those who offer “commonsense government,” and those “who promise to fight FOR the people and AGAINST politics as usual.” by Bob Adelmann

Wow, if this isn't the most reaching alleged news story I've ever seen, I don't know WHAT is!

It should be titled: 'Those who dislike Palin given more ammunition with McCain campaign pledge'

To all you Palin haters who are purposely participating in a campaign to diminish her support:

You are no better than Obama and his band of merry thugs.
You are no better than the MSM. You are no better than Keith Olbermann.
You are no better than Maureen Dowd.

NOT IN THE PRIMARIES...it goes against her core principles. So what is more important? Your core beliefs or loyalties to someone who frankly, wasn’t that great to her. If you look at the timeline..he started being kind when he realized it was in his best interest to be.

He’s still insulting the base, like he always does. We like Sarah, but we are not going to give our vote to him just because she says to. Let’s not do what the left did to Obama..let’s not put her up on a high pedestal where the only way is down....

Then don’t vote for her if she decides to run for president. Easy solution.

“reagan wanted some rino as his vp in 76”
****
Some would argue his VP pick in ‘80 and ‘84 is a RINO too.

Hildy, who are you fooling? I haven’t heard you say one nice thing about anyone the entire time you’ve been on Free Republic.

You've read every one of my 40,000 posts since 1998? Really..I'm flattered.

I love Sarah. The day McCain announced her my friend from Ohio called me at 6 in the morning and we were screaming at the top of our lungs as we both knew of her and loved her before the rest of America did.

Your statement is ridiculous. I live in Arizona..I've committed to working my butt off this election cycle to change the status quo. To hear that Sarah Palin chose to help McCain BEFORE THE PRIMARY was disheartening. Sue me. But I will stand by my assertion that it won't make a bit of difference here on the ground should she still decide to do this.

What she is not considering adequately is that this is not about her and McCain, it is about the United States.

That's it in a nutshell. It is putting personal issues before the needs of the country.

Oh Jesus.

The New American? The Magazine of the Birchers?

Come on, folks. Butch it up. If Sarah is being roasted over the coals by the frakking Birchers, she's making the right enemies.

Best,

Chris

You loved Sarah before the rest of America. Wow, you must be proud of yourself. You were first.... before the rest of America!

I obviously didn't know that about you. I should have never questioned your motives. That was very, very wrong of me.

My top five are:
1. Abortion (must be pro-life)
2. Defense (must protect the country)
3. Taxes (must lower taxes)
4. Economy (must move the economy in a positive direction)
5. 2nd Amendment (must protect this right)

After those are 100 percent accomplished then we can talk.

McCain is not a blind spot he is a speed bump the size of a house. He is a liberal progressive with some concern for defense. The Republican Party is in a fight for life with progressives and if Palin is on their side she must go. It is all about what Obama does not have, good judgement.

Exactly right... after the book took off, the crowds kept coming and her ratings went through the roof everywhere she went. That's when McCain found some use for her.

Before that, she was persona non grata in McQueeg's little world.

Let’s not do what the left did to Obama..let’s not put her up on a high pedestal where the only way is down....

Unfortunately, that's exactly what her fans are doing.

She has no choice...If McCain asks...he would more than likely bad mouth her if she failed to show up...People will come to see her and not McCain...Just like the election... it is between McRino and J.D.

Exactly, without McCain, everyone would be asking “Sarah Who?”... Expecting her to show zero loyalty is idiotic. However, zealots do tend to eat their own.

Personally, I think the "loyalty" excuse for Palin's behavior to be pretty lame. She's being "loyal" to her own detriment, campaigning (as distrinct from endorsing or --better yet-- ignoring) a man whose values she claims she does not espouse. I'm not interested in drinking the Palin kool-aid to excuse it.
