PA calls Arabs to 'defend al Aksa'
Jerusalem Post ^ | 3-14-10 | KHALED ABU TOAMEH

Top Fatah official: Israel "playing with fire" through Temple Mount "provocations."

A senior Palestinian Authority official on Sunday called on Israeli Arabs and Palestinian residents of Jerusalem to come to al Aksa Mosque in the Old City “to protect it from Israeli schemes.”

Top Fatah official and holder of the Jerusalem portfolio Khatem Abd el-Kader called Palestinians on Sunday to “converge on al Aksa to save it” from what he called “Israeli attempts to destroy the mosque and replace it with the [Jewish] temple.”

Khader was speaking ahead of a dedication of a renovated synagogue in the Jewish Quarter in the Old City, planned to take place Tuesday.

He called Israel’s renovation of the Hurva Synagogue a “provocation” and warned Israel that it was “playing with fire.”

Police has been imposing a ban on Israeli Arabs from coming to the Temple Mount, fearing clashes might erupt. Only holders of Israeli ID cards over 50 years old were allowed into the mosque.

The closure remains in place until after the dedication of the synagogue on Tuesday.

Another. And these are from the Library of Congress. An easy resource for the administration to access.

And while you can't hide the fact that it's falling apart from neglect, the LOC has plenty of pics of the Mosque of Omar.

At some point Palen or Huckabee will step up. It’s Fox News’ fault.

I like the one with the line through it! LOL!

The contrast is quite telling, isn’t it!

It is, you’d almost suspect that until the mid 20th century, Islam either didn’t think Mohammed and the flying horse didn’t visit, or they didn’t care. Which they didn’t, it was just another Mosque.

Should have added, a Mosque on land they took from the infidel Christians, they weren’t worried about infidel Jews then. It must be hard to keep your infidels straight.

that’s right. didnt’ some arab famous somebody somewhere tell the world that all the jews of the world should be relocated to alaska? I think I remember an arab in grad school telling me that story. but I could be mistaken.

Yep, I would agree that someone of our ilk from alaska should comment on that ideology. I’m sure the russians would then interject with their own claims on certain areas...not to mention the native americans.

But I suspect that if we did create a jew only partition in alaska...then the arabs would demand their own arab only partition in order to “keep a balance”.

LOL

Bet he's thinking of The Yiddish Policemen's Union which was published a couple years ago, but it was "considered" in the 1930s, I believe a bill was introduced in Congress. Went nowhere, unfortunately. Lives could have been saved.

Usurpation of other people’s holy places seems to be the name of the game.

Even the Kaaba was dedicated to 365 OTHER gods before the you-know-whos took over!

Who Wanted to Occupy the Land?
By Emanuel A. Winston - July 21, 2002

"...The historians have never paid much attention to the overall goals and motives of the seven invading Arab armies. Before the partition vote by the U.N. in 1947, the area of Israel, including Jerusalem, did not have much attraction for the Muslim Arabs. After the partition vote, the Land of Israel suddenly became 'indispensable' for Islam.

...

Now they want it back. Too bad. No other sovereign state has ever given away land won in a war from an aggressor — especially in a war of self-defense. Why should the Jewish State of Israel give anything to the Arabs who have only and always declared their intentions to take over ALL of the Jewish State of Israel as part of their plan of world domination for Islam?"

Yes and who better to decide where Jews may live in the land given to Jews in the days of Abraham than the Palestinians...or the Obami.
