My heart is heavy as I foolishly believed God would prevail in his ultimate decision

God does prevail in his ultimate decision. His way is not always our way

Perhaps I phrased it wrong. When I said I believed God would prevail in "HIS" ultimate decision I meant in Stupak's decision.

>At this moment it has to be all about Opposing Democrats. Not third Parties. We have no other options.

Hey! I heard that in 2008 with McCain.

Let me tell you my husband is all over Facebook with this. I am not involved with Facebook, too busy with FR and saving our country. He is too but also has a Facebook page and has been radical regarding the democrats and this bill. He has been telling it like it is. I am so glad.

Exactly. Stupak is a Democrat. We have no sway with him. It was foolish to put any faith in him to begin with.

The Single Clause in the 2010 Contract with America
Jennifer Rubin - 03.21.2010 - 8:30 AM

“A Jewish Republican activist recently asked me whether I thought the House Republicans would come up with a Contract with America. My answer: yes, with only one plank — repeal ObamaCare. That will dwarf all other issues, in part because it encompasses so many of the grievances accumulated by the Center-Right coalition in a little more than a year of Obamaism.

It simply isn’t the particulars of the bill that are so noxious. It is the perfect encapsulation of big-government liberalism. There are the gross fiscal recklessness, the massive spending, the huge tax hikes, the micromanagement of business, and the imposition of federal power in what was a realm previous left to states and private decision-makers. And if that weren’t enough, the bill and the road to its passage reflected the attitude of the Left toward the public — contemptuous and indifferent to its concerns and aspirations. In the accounting shenanigans and the loopy explanations, the Left could not conceal the rubes-will-buy-anything attitude.

So it should not surprise anyone that running against that will be the Republican message for 2010 and likely for 2012, as well. Yes, there is the high unemployment, but again, the argument will be that while voters wanted job creation, Democrats were passing health-care reform that constituents didn’t want. Yes, there is the corruption of individual House members, but the greatest corruption will be those members who sold out the voters for some special deal. (Uncovering the backrooms deals will be a full-time exercise.) You see the pattern here.

The Democrats are convinced the dim voters will learn to love ObamaCare. But they didn’t learn to love the stimulus. And the argument that they should love such a flawed piece of legislation soon became the object of derision and further fuel for populist anger. The reasons to hate ObamaCare are many and will resonate with a broad cross-section of voters. If the Democrats jam it through today, the 2010 campaign begins. And the anti-ObamaCare campaign will end only when it is repealed and when its supporters are bounced from office.”

I will now get flamed for a) agreeing with you and b) bringing up how we have failed to take care of the illegal issue, which if the Dems capture them, the Rep party is over.

We do NEED a comprehensive immigration push, as Hispanics are more naturally conservative: Catholic or fundamental christian; great work ethic; family oriented and pro military.

We need
- Secure the border totally—troops if need be
- an immediate guest worker program that WORKS NOW!
- bACKGROUND CHECKS and a way to take the now “illegals” into our system
-Employer computer data checks..we need a system that actually works to check those foregin workers that have accurate visas..that DNA card would work ( but not for every legal American)
-Put billions into an Immigration Agency that works!

Face it, we have never done anything about this problem, we essentially allowed these people in for decades-—Yes, that includes Reagen—and you can’t go backwards. With the economy now so bad, many illegals are and will go home, limiting somewhat those we grant work visas to.

If we can do what NO administration has done—close the borders—we can eventually get a handle on this.
Either WE do this, or the Dems will grant amnesty WITH open borders!

So- I lay down for awhile- I was getting sick.

The boy came down the hall- “MA!!! You’ve GOT to listen to the GOP House members- all lined up to revise and extend”!!

So- we finally got some humor here- in the midst of the insane chaos- our guys and gals are standing together like I’ve not seen in years.
