Updated: 4:55 p.m. U.S. Rep. Tom Perriello’s brother received a threatening letter in the mail on the same day that someone apparently severed a gas line at the home in Ivy.
Two conservative Tea Party activists posted the address of the home on the Internet on Monday, mistakenly believing it was the home of the congressman. One of the activists urged others to “drop by” and “express their thanks” for Perriello’s vote in favor of health care reform.
Tuesday evening, Perriello’s brother’s family smelled gas and discovered the propane line of a gas-powered grill on their screened-in porch had been slashed.

Seriously? a bbq grill might have had a defective part? I thought it was to his house. I’ve gone through many grill part in my day and I never thought to blame a group of leftists.. i might have been able to get something for free.

Don’t those gas grills use a hose with woven wire in them to prevent a gas line rupture? something just doesn’t “smell” right here!

It does, but not nearly as strong as natural gas. If it was a 30 lb. gas grill canister, I'm guessing it would have all leaked out within 10 minutes or so, depending on how full the tank was.
.....and watch the contents totally empty in mere seconds, making it pretty much non-lethal unless:
#1. you were next going to club the owner over the head with the empty tank,
#2....or stand in the bushes and laugh hysterically as he has to go somewhere and purchase a fresh tank with his wife screaming at him loud enough for the neighbors to hear that he's "holding up dinner", and "I thought you said you checked the tank!!".
The Tea Party and 912 people I know would not do anything like that and I think if they knew who did it, they would turn them in.
No, but one is added so that you know if you have a leak. A propane leak is more dangerous than natural gas too due to the high pressure and wider combustible range.
Even O’Reilley was jumping on this bandwagon - and saying these tea party people must stop. Meanwhile does anyone remember the ACORN supporter who was running around with the Obama is Hitler poster - an agent provocateur, caught and admitted. The media is teeing off on this and it is like Soviet propaganda. Created to make a story to dishonor a political opponent.
Also - during the Iraq war - the media reported the War protesters as the salt of the Earth, and the media never showed these vile people making horrible statements. Thousands of Bush Hitler posters yet no complaints. Typical hypocrisy.
