Start thinking now about what your argument against Palin will be when this McCain thing has evaporated into thin air, while Palin fights on for conservative values.

“Hayworth is a loser..”

There it is!!! What you all have to realize is everyone who is making such remarks has always been PRO AMNESTY, but they won’t admit it, because it’s an UN AMERICAN position. They use the usual tactics...INSULT and attack anyone who disagrees with them.

THAT is what this is ALL about.

Hasn't compromised one conservative principal? You obviously haven't studied her record. She supported and passsed a windfall profits tax on oil companies, supported the Bridge to Nowhere, and supports McCain's immigration policy. Furthermore, by endorsing McCain, emphatically and publicly, she aligns herself with one of the worst RINOs ever.

There is no argument against Palin for supporting McCain, because there is no way to make the claim that if Palin hadn’t done this transient little favor for McCain, the attacks against her wouldn’t have been a lot worse.

“A President cannot repeal amnesty. Why do you persist in the notion?”

More importantly, where has Palin EVER said she would repeal amnesty? (or as she puts it ‘a path to citizenship’. And why would she, if she support McCain’s position, which she clearly does.

More wishful thinking.

BTW, on McCain’s website, he even says he is ‘not for amnesty’.

If we can’t judge this woman by her own words, what can we do? Wishin’ and hopin’ just isn’t cutting it.

The “bridge” argument falls flat because she withdrew her support for it.

If your position rests on the premise that Palin is in favor of raising taxes, you won’t get very far.

If you want to claim Palin supports amnesty, you’re the one who isn’t studying. She supports McCain’s position on border security.

You better start thinking of a new attack against her—this McCain thing is going away soon.

I did see a short video of the old doofus with his clearly zonked out wife standing behind Palin while she spoke. Both of them looked like they'd like to sink a hatchet in her head. UGLY doesn't even start to describe it and from the description of body language and general tension in the reports on Greta's show, I'd say it was the same. These are not people confident of winning the primary, probably based on their internal polling. That's probably why they need to exploit Palin to such an extent even though they clearly hate her.

I came away with the same impression. Mrs Palin clearly looked like a women with a gun being held to her back.

“to me it sounds like Palin is against illegals and for deporting them as I am.”

You only hear what you want to hear. And all your ‘swell Lincoln research’ won’t change what SHE says. Do you think so little of her that you can’t hear her own words?

According to Palin, DEPORTATION is INHUMANE.

PALIN: “. We - our policy - John McCain has been so clear with his policy and it makes a lot of sense too. We secure our borders first. But then with a comprehensive approach we must deal humanely with those who are here, and we must allow the steps to be taken to protect the families of those who are here, maybe as illegal immigrants today.....”

UNIVISION: “Talking about - still with immigration - ICE has arrested and deported almost five thousand undocumented immigrants in the last year, separated many Hispanic families. Would you support stopping these raids until comprehensive immigration reform could be passed in Congress?”

Palin: “Well, the unfortunate thing of course about the raids is that it does affect the families involved here. Parents and children are separated and that’s tragic.” (No, that is by choice of the alien, Sarah - they can take their kids and we pay for it!)

“Univision: To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?
Sarah Palin: I do because I understand why people would want to be in America.”
Univision: As governor, how do you deal with them? Do you think they all should be deported?
Sarah Palin: There is no way that in the US we would roundup every illegal immigrant - there are about 12 million of the illegal immigrants - not only economically is that just an impossibility but that’s not a humane way anyway to deal with the issue that we face with illegal immigration.”

“This amnesty will be fought on “racist” grounds, mark my words, because nothing else makes sense and the commies in our government know it.

Leni “

You got that right. IMO, all this race baiting is leading up to the amnesty push.

There are a few things that just keep creeping into my mind about this ‘the right is attacking the left’ media scenario.

It seems ‘pre-emptive’, and very well organized, more like a ‘campaign’, not a reaction to actual or ‘perceived’ threats. Bill Clinton’s crew were masters at this; put the story out there, make it your own, before the real story is told. It’s as if they expect trouble. And knowing their own kind, I think they do expect trouble from their own side and are busy blaming us so they can excuse them when it happens.

Then there is that ‘never waste a crisis’ thing that Obama’s people practice so well. Say one congressman actually got a slur. Why not capitalize on it?

The hispanic caucus got Obama this healthcare bill. He promised amnesty for it. They know trouble is coming and what trouble the illegal alien promoters are. They constantly brag that they’ll get what they want if it takes violence, and they’ve proven that leaning for years.

I keep thinking about what John McCain said about France’s immigration/violence problem.

* Recently this headline, “Obama Warns Of ‘Quiet Riot’ Among Blacks”, (http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1845275/posts)got some conservatives upset. Is that really so much worse than McCain telling us there will be civil unrest among Illegal aliens if his ‘comprehensive’ reform wasn’t passed?

John McCain: no amnesty for illegal aliens could lead to France-style riots

...The man wasn’t satisfied with McCain’s answer. He asked McCain why the U.S. couldn’t execute large-scale deportations, as he had heard they did in France and other countries. The question seemed to pique McCain.

“In case you hadn’t noticed, the thousands of people who hhave been relegated to ghettos have risen up and burned cars in France,” McCain said. “They’ve got huge problems in France. They have tremendous problems. The police can’t even go into certain areas in the suburbs of Paris. I don’t want that in the suburbs of America.”

JD’s fund raising has been coming along well, $686,000 toward his goal of $1,000,000 for March. And they started this drive well into the month. With a good push the last few days of March, the goal should be reached:

We don’t have to guess where JD stands on the amnesty for illegals issue.

Looks like to me Palin has opened a can of worms by supporting McCain that will only cause strife within Conservatives and Republicans. I can’t follow her in her support of McCain because he isn’t the right person to be in the Republican party anymore.

She is dancing a dangerous dance. I can get why one such as her would do it, but just can’t come to agree with it. As such she hasn’t said she will run for 2012 yet. So I am saying that I am hoping other people run who can not have this baggage around them.

If McCain loses the primary, then we hope this will pass over. If not then, I see trouble ahead for Palin. She is confusing me on whether she thinks McCain can be changed on positions or whether she is supporting his Rino activity or whether she is a really supporting the tea party movement.

I am lost as both sides of the argument have made decent statements. But to me it is clear that she is helping McCain and that she should stay away from him.

Add to that the fact that we have a better candidate in Hayworth running against him who Palin could have supported and you see that she is only dividing the party. At best she should have stayed out of this. If she thinks this is just a continuation of 2008 then she is mistaken.

We need McCain gone. The era of McCain has to be ended. It gave us Obama. Time to defeat McCain.

Right now, my money is on Michele Bachmann in 2012. But we will see what happens with Palin and who actually runs.

She only withdrew her support for the bridge when it became despised to the national electorate. And, she did tax oil companies, which now had the result that Conoco-Phillips is moving out of Alaska, taking jobs with them.

I suppose my biggest problem with Palin, is that I believe she is a populist and a fraud. She espouses Christan beliefs, but leaves her family to work outside the home when there are small children in the home. I do not think Bristol's pregnancy and moral lapse was unrelated to her absence. She attacks others for corruption, but she herself is condemned for ethics violations by a Republican legislature. She claims to be a conservative, but places special taxes on oil companies. She supports wasteful government spending in Alaska until it becomes unpopular. She supports McCain to bed herself with the GOP establishment.

I actually hope I am wrong. Maybe she is conservative, but I have considerable doubts.

That is a non-sequitor argument. The issue is not whether Sarah Palin would suffer attacks, since such has always proven true no matter her stance. The issue is principle. To support a man, who has proven himself beyond all reasonable doubt to be the enemy of conservatism, is not defensible by those who call themselves conservative. This is a blatant contradiction of purpose. If McCain wins re-election because of Palin’s assistance, then the passage of all manner of damaging legislation id all but guaranteed, and particularly that of amnesty. There is no excuse for Palin’s undermining of a true conservative so to increase the influence of a RINO.

That’s the problem... you are willing to lose to the Dems because you hate the Republican running to win. That’s the attitude that gave us Obama.

Actually what gave us and paved the way for Zero was years of voting the 'lesser of two evils' as the RNC siddled to the left.
