Leg Thrills and Spine Chills: Chris Matthews’ Glass House Regime
David Horowitz's NewsReal Blog ^ | Rhonda Robinson

Posted on 04/07/2010 12:55:29 PM PDT by Michael van der Galien

The old saying “People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw rocks” may be a self-evident truth to most of us, but this one is lost on Chris Matthews, the self-appointed guardian of all things Obama, and host of MSNBC’s Hardball.

Matthews recently caught the attention of conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh. (After one of Matthews’ typical tirades he called Limbaugh an underwater walrus.) The third grade comment was not what got Rush’s attention. Granted the rant was directed at him, it was over his use of the word “regime.”

In predictable form, Matthews completely ignored the substance of what Rush had said, and instead of engaging in real debate, he put on his offended face and powdered his nose with self-righteous indignation–claiming the use of the word “regime” when referring to an American President, was unacceptable–and it must stop.

A short clip of what Limbaugh said:

“…I have never seen the media so supportive of a regime amassing so much power. And I have never known as many people who literally fear for the future.”

Matthews:

“… I’ve never seen language like this in the American press, referring to an elected representative government, elected in a totally fair, democratic, American election… And this guy, this walrus under water, makes fun of this administration, calling it a “regime.”

I have to agree with Matthews on this one.

Rush was wrong. Instead of "regime," he should have used "Marxist Goon Squad."

More accurate, 'tis true, but the word "regime" certainly flushes the monkeys out of hiding like nothing else will.

Chris Matthews? Who is this a-hole?

He used to be a guest host for Rush LOL.

That scientist from Berkley who wanted to be a guest host today should have pointed that out to him :-)

What an awful position into which Chrissy has put himself, having to lie time and again in a vain and foolhardy attempt to build a record of gravitas upon sinking sand!

Caporegime would have worked as well. Obama being the “capo di tutti capo” of his mafia organization.

He needs to slowly work in the word “fascist” as well.

Nothing makes a leftist madder than to have it pointed out that their ideology is inherently fascist.

They have tried to paint the right as fascist for decades.

Matthews obsession with Obama is twisted, abnormal and totally creepy. I could see him stalking Obama and leaving dead rabbits in his kitchen. Obama should get a restraining order, just to be safe.

onering

We knew POS Obama was tyrant material before the election. That election was NOT fair, the Republican was set up as a fall guy who would not expose a communist as a communist and neither did the so called "free press".

There are lots of quotes out there of Democrats calling for “Regime Change” as if Bush was Khomeni or Sadam. I remember, John F’n Kerry (who went to Vietnam) in particular saying it.
