Posted on 04/07/2010 12:55:29 PM PDT by Michael van der Galien
The old saying People who live in glass houses shouldnt throw rocks may be a self-evident truth to most of us, but this one is lost on Chris Matthews, the self-appointed guardian of all things Obama, and host of MSNBCs Hardball.
Matthews recently caught the attention of conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh. (After one of Matthews typical tirades he called Limbaugh an underwater walrus.) The third grade comment was not what got Rushs attention. Granted the rant was directed at him, it was over his use of the word regime.
In predictable form, Matthews completely ignored the substance of what Rush had said, and instead of engaging in real debate, he put on his offended face and powdered his nose with self-righteous indignationclaiming the use of the word regime when referring to an American President, was unacceptableand it must stop.
A short clip of what Limbaugh said:
I have never seen the media so supportive of a regime amassing so much power. And I have never known as many people who literally fear for the future.
Ive never seen language like this in the American press, referring to an elected representative government, elected in a totally fair, democratic, American election
And this guy, this walrus under water, makes fun of this administration, calling it a regime.

Who is this a-hole?
Is he like on TV or something?
Hypocrite...and I really believe Chris Matthews trashes Rush to get the last bits of attention.
"my leg tingle's in trouble,my leg tingle's in trouble"
I have to agree with Matthews on this one.
Rush was wrong. Instead of "regime," he should have used "Marxist Goon Squad."
Not sure, think he's a guy on DU.
More accurate, 'tis true, but the word "regime" certainly flushes the monkeys out of hiding like nothing else will.
He used to be a guest host for Rush LOL.
That scientist from Berkley who wanted to be a guest host today should have pointed that out to him :-)
Caporegime would have worked as well. Obama being the “capo di tutti capo” of his mafia organization.
My wise pappy always said, “Don’t spit in the well, you may have to drink the water.”
PS, you can’t go back...
He needs to slowly work in the word “fascist” as well.
Nothing makes a leftist madder than to have it pointed out that their ideology is inherently fascist.
They have tried to paint the right as fascist for decades.
Matthews obsession with Obama is twisted, abnormal and totally creepy. I could see him stalking Obama and leaving dead rabbits in his kitchen. Obama should get a restraining order, just to be safe.
We knew POS Obama was tyrant material before the election. That election was NOT fair, the Republican was set up as a fall guy who would not expose a communist as a communist and neither did the so called "free press".
There are lots of quotes out there of Democrats calling for “Regime Change” as if Bush was Khomeni or Sadam. I remember, John F’n Kerry (who went to Vietnam) in particular saying it.
I know of course, that I am never going to convince him of anything. Like all good dimwits, he immediately tries to change subjects when confronted with facts, avoids answering when a direct question is posed to him, etc. He also relies heavily on what "people of authority" have to say about things, because he's unwilling to, or incapable of, thinking critically and evaluating anything for himself.
On the other hand, I'll be damned if I'm going to let him stand in my house and spout off his spoon-fed MSNBC nonsense without a challenge :-)
Sadly, he is representative of a very large percentage of people in this country.
Well, I was going to launch into a diatribe about him, but, it’s probably what he wants...he’s the shock-jock of the news world and craves attention as bad as obama does...may they rot in hell together.
I’m hoping (ego boost) that Rush or one of his lurkers admired my longstanding tagline and snagged it.
About a year and a half ago, Ann Coulter snagged -- almost verbatim -- one of my sarcastic posts against some Dem policy.
Quite an ego booster, to be sure!
"Reverend Sharpton, what do you make of this letter and this panoply of the left condemning the Bush regime?"
- Chris Matthews, 2002
Does Chris perhaps have a closet problem and therefore cannot help himself from leaking out his crush on uhbama? Many of us think uhbama has a bit of a problem with the closet issue.
Is that why chris cares knee pads and a box of tissues with him on the chance that he will meet mac daddy somewhere?
Well-that is a bit rough but the general gist is there.
“Flushes the monkeys.” Good one. Appropriate for this discussion!
