The old saying “People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw rocks” may be a self-evident truth to most of us, but this one is lost on Chris Matthews, the self-appointed guardian of all things Obama, and host of MSNBC’s Hardball.
Matthews recently caught the attention of conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh. (After one of Matthews’ typical tirades he called Limbaugh an underwater walrus.) The third grade comment was not what got Rush’s attention. Granted the rant was directed at him, it was over his use of the word “regime.”
In predictable form, Matthews completely ignored the substance of what Rush had said, and instead of engaging in real debate, he put on his offended face and powdered his nose with self-righteous indignation–claiming the use of the word “regime” when referring to an American President, was unacceptable–and it must stop.
A short clip of what Limbaugh said:
“…I have never seen the media so supportive of a regime amassing so much power. And I have never known as many people who literally fear for the future.”
Matthews:
“… I’ve never seen language like this in the American press, referring to an elected representative government, elected in a totally fair, democratic, American election… And this guy, this walrus under water, makes fun of this administration, calling it a “regime.”

I know of course, that I am never going to convince him of anything. Like all good dimwits, he immediately tries to change subjects when confronted with facts, avoids answering when a direct question is posed to him, etc. He also relies heavily on what "people of authority" have to say about things, because he's unwilling to, or incapable of, thinking critically and evaluating anything for himself.
On the other hand, I'll be damned if I'm going to let him stand in my house and spout off his spoon-fed MSNBC nonsense without a challenge :-)
Sadly, he is representative of a very large percentage of people in this country.
Well, I was going to launch into a diatribe about him, but, it’s probably what he wants...he’s the shock-jock of the news world and craves attention as bad as obama does...may they rot in hell together.
I’m hoping (ego boost) that Rush or one of his lurkers admired my longstanding tagline and snagged it.
About a year and a half ago, Ann Coulter snagged -- almost verbatim -- one of my sarcastic posts against some Dem policy.

Does Chris perhaps have a closet problem and therefore cannot help himself from leaking out his crush on uhbama? Many of us think uhbama has a bit of a problem with the closet issue.
Is that why chris cares knee pads and a box of tissues with him on the chance that he will meet mac daddy somewhere?
Well-that is a bit rough but the general gist is there.
