KY-Sen. 2010: Testing Influence of the Tea Party in Kentucky Race (Grayson for Big Government)
The New York Times ^ | 2010-04-11 | Kate Zernike

(snip)

Mr. Grayson argues that some of Dr. Paul’s ideas (getting rid of the Departments of Energy, Education and Commerce) are too “weird” for Kentucky. And in increasingly sharp ads, he argues that Dr. Paul is downright dangerous when it comes to foreign policy.

“Here’s a guy who is outside of the Republican mainstream,” Mr. Grayson said in an interview here.

It's nice to know that you've "won" this debate in your own mind. Tells me even more about you. :)

(Shrugs). All you have to do, is just answer my question about Adam Kokesh's primary opponent, Tom Mullins. Surely, if you're no hypocrite, your answer won't reveal any hypocrisy, will it?

Whenever I post a question to an opponent which they are unable or unwilling to answer, I know I've won the debate.

Such "weird" ideas were an important part of the agenda of the Class of 1994 "Contract With America" Republicans. Since then the GOP has backed off and reversed course. Mike Pence and the Republican Study Committee has been courageously trying the get the GOP back on the course of seriously reigning in the role of government. We do not need another "big government" Republican in power, there has been enough of that for too long now.

Oh, yeah. Ron and Rand Paul!

Peace, love and tie-dyed shirts, maaaaaaan.

Nobody attacked us. 9/11 is meaningless. It was because of our policies in the Middle East. < /sarc tag for those who might not understand>

I like Rand Paul. Like his politics a lot.
Don't trust Adam Kokesh so much.

Having reviewed both GOP candidates in the New Mexico race, I'm supporting Tom Mullins. I'm not terribly impressed with either, but Mullins looks to me like a better candidate than Kokesh.

I would support Kokesh against the Democrat Ben Lujan, you can "accuse" me of that if you like; but I think that Mullins will beat Kokesh for the GOP nomination, anyway, so it will be a moot point. Just my own opinion.

Well, like I said -- I'm a Tom Mullins supporter, for that Congressional race.

But yes, IF Kokesh were to win the GOP nomination for that race -- then yes, I would vote for Kokesh against the Democrat, Ben Lujan. Ben Lujan is radically pro-Abortion, and I don't vote for pro-Abortion candidates (just a personal vow, and one of the only reasons I can't really support Peter Schiff despite my strong approval for his Austrian-school economics).

If that be treason, make the most of it.

Ah, no. I was a good, conservative Catholic girl at that age. Young Allegra with Viking Kitty Micia in Naples, Italy (military brat posting). A few years ago. ;-)

The lesser of two evils... is still evil...

Kokesh is BAD news...the only reason the press hasnt jumped all over this is becuase kokesh was the darling of the anti-war left...but that wont last forever...IF he does somehow manage to get the nod...the press will destroy him in favor of the dem...

And paul is an idiot for appearing with kokesh...

Grayson and I are in total agreement. We won't have to worry about big or small government if radical Islamic terrorists some folks carry out their destruction of us, the infidels.

Now, see, humblegunner gave us that name a few years ago (on some thread right here on FR, as I recall...)

The only rules to become part of the exclusive club are that you are that you really are neither geriatric nor a slut and you must have gathered together for more than one consecutive meal.

It's quite an honor!
