I don’t know, if you can get into Texas, it would be hard to turn down.
I’m not sure about the rankings of the other schools, but Texas is a good school.

I knew a few people who attended the U of Miami and they hated the reputation the school got, back in the day, because of the football teams. Some of the folks included doctors.
To: ConservativeStatement
UNLV and UC Boulder didn’t make the list?
To: ConservativeStatement
IIRC, UT also has the most students. (which would coincide with their results)

WVU finished second again!
What do we have to do, elect Ray Dills student body president?

I love Texans but passed on that Univesity when I started my degree collection. Things are changing ... and University of Texas is NOT a school on our radar list for college for our kids.
Hillsdale College looks interesting. It’s private and CONSERVATIVE. For an undergraduate degree it might work for us when the time comes to decide.

Have Obama come visit and have a few of his parties there. Maybe then they can move up to the number one position.

University of Texas at Austin and University of Iowa at Iowa City, #1 and #10 on the list are hotbeads of leftist influence in their respective states.

UT is an outstanding school and admission is very competitive. It’s huge so I would expect a high number of party people. That’s what a lot of people do at that age. Obviously Playboy isn’t attempting to define the academic merit of any of these schools.

As a party school, the University of Miami is over rated, trust me. I think the reason it makes these lists is because it is in MIAMI, and Miami rocks, as far as partying goes.

That is fine, but for a lot of people Texas is a great education in a city that is a lot of fun. It does take a lot of maturity to go there and know when to have fun and when to work, but considering how hard it is to get in these days, most students should have that.

UT has to flunk out several thousand freshmen every year because they don't have room for more upper-classmen...or so I've been told.
I don't care what they do---I wouldn't pay for a kid to attend TU.
