State Rep. Mark Hatfield (R-Waycross) has just introduced legislation that would require Barack Obama should he run for re-election to provide proof of his citizenship before being granted a spot on the 2012 Georgia presidential primary ballot.
The state of Hawaii, of course, has already declared the matter of Obamas birth proven and closed.
The new measure stands no chance of passage in the final three days of the current session, but is an indication of what could come next January.

It applies to all, but of course the AJC makes it sound like it’s meant to pick on The One. At least their obligatory line about Hawaii has them declaring, not demonstrating. (I’m sure that was a slip.)
Release the long form (if there is one)!
wouldn’t it be simpler, and less likely to charges of partisanship to require all candidates prove their elligibility?
personally, the problem is more a failure of those charged with keeping the election process honest in the first place.
Where are the medical records? What was Obama’s weight when born?
Where’s the original birth certificate? If it exists, show it. At least show it to a group of 20 journalists from all side of the political spectrum.
Where’s Obama’s passport? What does it say about his nationality and what countries he visited? We know one was Pakistan. Where else?
FTA- “The state of Hawaii, of course, has already declared the matter of Obamas birth proven and closed.”
Sorry, but they have not. a little research and you will see the error of your thinking.
FREE THE LONG FORM!
In addition to the Place of Birth the age requirement (35) should not be overlooked.
It should be mandatory in every State that an original birth certificate be submitted for ballot eligibility.
Where is the doctor that delivered him? Where will the presidential library be?
Normally, the hometown locals do a very large amount of crowing when a local kid makes it to the WH.
It does apply to all candidates, although you wouldn’t know it by the calculated ambiguity in the lead sentence. It would force Obama [among others] to show proof.
I just read a few of the comments. Typical Obots. Like this one:

Im pushing for a constitutional amendment that removes the native born restriction on running for president. I would rather have a Harvard educated foreigner as president than some of the fools Ive seen the other party put forward.
Interesting that the media immediately assumes that this is directed at Obama. It applies to all candidates for the Presidency.
Unless I am reading it incorrectly, the proposed requirement applies to all candidates. There is no mention of Obama.
It’s directed at Obama in the sense that it’s designed to detect any and all frauds, and he is what comes to mind.
It’s possible, if this idea spreads to some other states, that Obama won’t be on the ballot in some states. The big liberal Democrat states will never pass such legislation. But it’s possible that a bloc of states will not have him on the ballot, which could hurt his re-election effort if it’s a close election.
I think the long form would identify Malcolm X as his father.

You are assuming he is a fraud. The Left wants the pereception to be that the proposed law is directed at Obama. The reality is that such a requirement would be in force long after Obama leaves office. It is about the Constitution and the Rule of Law.
I just called my state senator here in Pa and urged him to do the same. We should get on our state level reps about this since Congress has the spine of a jellyfish on this issue.
I expect the Teleprompter will occupy a place of honor in the library, which will have no books but a complete video record of all of the marxist muslim's speeches.
Why just for President? It should apply for every office, from Recycling Chief, Animal Control Warden (Dog Catcher), Selectmen, Mayors and even former Senators from Illinois on up. You stop the stealth candidates early.
