Democrats Have Secret Plan for November
Newsmax ^ | June 13th, 2010

Political analysts are predicting a huge win for Republicans in November's congressional elections, but some Democrats believe they have a secret plan to stave off a crushing Republican landslide.

That’s the analysis from Newsweek magazine’s Andrew Romano, who writes that “the Democrats in charge are actually rather confident about getting their fellow Dems elected this year. The reason? They have a plan — a plan that they believe will produce much better results on Election Day than anyone expects.”

The first element of that plan is the return of Obama’s former campaign manager David Plouffe, who left politics after Obama’s election win. At the president’s request, he is now communicating on a regular basis with the Democratic National Committee on campaign strategy.

Plouffe’s top priority is to get many of the 15 million people who voted for the first time in 2008, and largely supported Obama, back to the polls this year. His main weapon is the 13-million-name e-mail list from the Obama campaign now available to the DNC.

The focus on individual elections for Democrats will be “keep it local,” according to Romano. “While Republicans hammer away at national themes targeted at right-wing activists, Democrats plan to focus on bread-and-butter regional concerns like jobs.”

Democrats also believe that the emergence of tea party challengers in GOP primaries will help their candidates attract moderate voters. A tea party candidate who wins the primary will drive moderates toward the Democrat in the general election, the thinking goes, and a tea partyer who loses will likely have forced the winning Republican to move further to the right and possibly alienate moderate voters.

At the risk of being flamed, anyone who believes the GOP can’t screw this up bigtime, leaving the Dems in charge hasn’t been watching these last ten years.

Sadly, some people will vote Democrat no matter how bad things get or what Obama does. Don't count on circumstances changing their vote...

OFA has a very very large contact & distribution list. They can target and reach voters with their splinter groups (ACORN, Project Vote, etc...). Get involved with a local campiagn.

Des this mean they will abandon their old plan, “it’s George Bush’s fault”?

It’s going to take a lot of ‘RAT “secret plans” to finally destroy America. Americans are going to fight them until the end. One way or another.

Among the 15 million new voters, how many expected Obama and the Democrats to end the war in Iraq? How many were in college and expected the economy to improve so they could find a good job? I’d say a large percentage of them. At best, they aren’t going to be all that eager to get out and vote for party that has failed to deliver on its promises. Eventually, many will become conservatives.

Hate to say it gang but they're going local and it may work.

I live in the NY 24th district Michael Arcuri has been handing out grants all over since May and has little town halls about “local issues”. Just look at his slide show; http://arcuri.house.gov/

Local media has him on just about every other night and we haven't seen a thing from his Republican opponent, Richard Hanna, a good candidate that almost beat Arcuri the last time.

Hanna is just getting underway with a good following on Twitter but could never afford the exposure Arcuri’s getting.

You are correct.

If every single person doesn't volunteer to stop OFA/ACORN/Project Vote... we are effed.

They are in most districts. Even in red states. They are well funded.

Wait until Plouffe finds out that ACORN made up at least half the people on the “13 million email” list!!! Because remember, he PAID ACORN by the name!!

It's as secret as the pentagon papers.

DemonRATs can't keep a secret, it's genetic.

The stooooooooopid author says it's a SECRET plan and then goes point by point over the plan, he did leave out stuffing the ballot boxes since that is just standard voting day procedure for the demonRATs.

Voting illegals, felons and voter fraud is what the Dems have left. It’s certainly not their great policies!

I wonder if there is a way for the RNC to ‘obtain’ the list of 13 million names.

His main weapon is the 13-million-name e-mail list from the Obama campaign now available to the DNC.

Personally, I think his main weapon is the billions of dollars they have in the Slush/TARP account.

So their basic strategy is to lie more effectively and target economically, fiscally and politically illiterate voters.

Hmmm, that might work; it did work in 2008.

Yep. The TARP fund coupled the OFA list is the plan for the Dems in 2010.

Get on twitter and organize with other conservatives. Get involved with a local campaign.

[Sorry but they ran on that in 2006 and have managed to destroy the job market. I seriously doubt if many will be fooled again.]
