Felt it in Cincinnati!

Hmm. I did not. I'm on the east side of the city.

Felt it in Saratoga Springs, NY. My floor lamp was shaking and I felt my chair wiggling....went outside and my lilies were waving around and there is no wind blowing.

The only quakes we've felt here were centered in KY or southern OH. This one from up north didn't reach us.

I can see from its epicenter location why you felt it in VT. Kinda weird, eh?

I know the Attica fault is around her someplace...

Nah. Everybody knows it's Bush's Fault...

oh 5.5 is just a little shaker, no need to worry. A lot of us lived thru SF one and Northridge. Dr. Eckleburg had the house come down around her. Personally after Texas, I think tornados are worse

In the Imperial Valley California we use 5.5’s to stir our coffee in the am.

My daughter works in the 15222 zip...so she is fairly in the heart of ‘dahntahn.’ She (and her co-workers) thought it might be something that happened construction wise (the subway, all the construction)...but joked ‘earthquake!’

So she calls her newsjunkie mom...and lo and behold...they DID feel it...

Strange.

Hehe... now all of you folks on the East Coast know how we feel here on the west coast! I am in Oregon, and we have the Cascadia Subduction zone right off the coast, that sucker has ruptured with a 9.0 back in 1700. While we don’t get as many as California does, we do get em. Its not pleasant at all.

"My first earthquake...a little shook up, but I’m alright:)"

The last time we had one here, it was a Saturday morning, and I was sitting on the toilet. That was weird.

You hit most of the bad points. Another recently mentioned was triggering a quake on the New Madrid fault. That would be lots of fun too.

Funny, I’m in DC and heard a weird rumble that lasted several seconds to a minute. I thought it was thunder, but it’s clear and it went on and on... Didn’t feel anything though

About 5 minutes later, this thread pops up.

Maryland’s graph is showing the same thing.

Hi Judy,

Reports coming from Windsor to Montreal, and some US states.

Only 38 miles from me.
Scary, eh?
