SHOCKING: Kagan's Princeton Thesis Cited German Socialist Who Endorsed Nazis
Human Events ^ | JULY 1, 2010 | Human Events

Elena Kagan's senior thesis at Princeton University, recounting the history of socialist politics in New York City, cited the theories of an influential German Marxist who notoriously switched allegiances to Nazism after Adolf Hitler attained power.

Werner Sombart was widely recognized as an academic proponent of Marxism and was once praised by Karl Marx's colleague Friedrich Engels as the only German professor who understood Marx's Das Kapital. During World War I, however, Sombart endorsed Germany's "heroic" war against the "capitalist spirit" represented by England. In 1934, Sombart published Deutscher Sozialismus, which advocated the "total ordering of life" as an expression of the German Volksgeist, or "national spirit."

In the introduction to her 1981 thesis, Kagan addresses a question famously asked by Sombart: Warum gibt es in den Vereinigten Staaten keinen Sozialismus? -- "Why is there no socialism in the United States?"

My point was, not that the Usurper went to Princeton, but generally, where are all of his records?

“Kagans thesis is now out there? Where is the Usurper’s?”

When the truth finally comes out about the Usurper, there may not be any thesis. I’m convinced that he was allowed to skate through his whole acedemic career with no requirement to do any actual work. We’ll see.

And by he way, the truth always comes out. But sometimes it takes a long time.

“The fact that socialists endorsed nazis would be shocking to most people.”

Soviet Communism has completely brainwashed a large part of this country.
There are those on the left that deny that “the left” is influenced by Marx/Engels etc.
Why go watch the new movie “Alice in Wonderland”?
We are living in it...........

It's not just about this citation. Her thesis reveals a great fondness for leftist ideas. [http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=OWE3Y2Y3YTBmNDg5MDFiZWE3NTU2NzI3NTc3NTg0M2Q=]

She called the story of the socialist movement’s demise “a sad but also a chastening one for those who, more than half a century after socialism’s decline, still wish to change America ... In unity lies their only hope.”

She hoped that the future would “be marked by American disillusionment with conservative programs and solutions, and that a new, revitalized, perhaps more leftist left will once again come to the fore.”

Kagan is, like 0bama, a member of the far left wing of the Demonrat Party, which means that she is basically a communist.

Numerous individuals I have known who have gone through the system tell me that graduates of Tokyo university usually didn't have to participate in learning exercises.

The idea was that all the attendees were smart guys and gals who were so intelligent there was little the university could provide them but discussion space off campus in various noodle shops, and that the professors could write booklets for them to read if they wished.

This is supposedly the primary reason Japanese industry "retrains" and "reindoctrinates" new engineers, accountants, management types in their fields once they are hired.

Eventually performance, not "smarts", counts.

I fear that Obama was pushed through top tier schools in this country on exactly the same basis ~ that he was considered a bright young fellow simply for having been selected to "be there", so formal education was not required of him!

Kagans thesis is now out there? Where is the Usurper’s? The crayons he used are too smeared to be legible.

I refered only to what was cited in the op’s link.

That she is/was/and likely always will be a socialist/marxist sympathizer/agitator is beyond debate! But the simple fact that she cited a german socialist who endorsed nazi’s is NOT the ammunition to use to attack her!

Kagan is a doctrinaire leftist with no more respect for the Constitution than Mao, Hitler, Castro, or Stalin would have had. She is a serial perjurer, an enabler of despotism, a true piece of human excrement.

I've cited everyone from Marx and Engels to Ayn Rand and Milton Friedman in college papers. If you are writing a paper either positive, negative or neutral about a topic you often have to use those actual involved as sources, and those involved were often proponents of the actions you are writing about. Could you write a dozen page paper on politics in American health care without quoting (shudder) Hillary?

It doesn't matter what this lesbo has done or said. The republicans do not have the intellectual or political will to stop her confirmation. The republican party is mostly a group of men with no balls and no grit.

When conservative justices such as Alito and others were nominated for the bench, the liberals viciously attacked them and made it personal. Yet when liberals are nominated, the republicans play this polite, well mannered, even aristocratic game. Makes me sick. I have lost respect for these wimps.

The fact that socialists endorsed nazis would be shocking to most people.

The fact that NAZI was an abbreviation for National SOCIALIST party would amaze even more. They are different names for the same kind of tyranny.

“The fact that NAZI was an abbreviation for National SOCIALIST party would amaze even more. They are different names for the same kind of tyranny.”

Excellent point. We would be better served to refer to them as National Socialists (rather than the shorthand NAZI) so that even the multitudes of heads full of mush out there can grasp that when you go socialist and totalitarian, there’s no end to the wars that the government can wage on its own people.

"The Road to Serfdom" easily conveys liberals downtown to the hell of National Socialism. Capitalist and freedom-loving Americans are shocked and astounded at who Kagan is.

Problem: The majority in Congress and their dear voters rejoice in her! This is hope! This is change! Liberty, Equality and Fraternity!!

She has to be one of the ugliest human beings ever to walk the face of the Earth. I mean, I normally don’t comment on people’s looks but this woman looks like Gollum from Lord of the Rings.

Let’s face it: the only reason this “woman” was chosen is because she figures to play prominently in Obama’s plans to stack the court in favor of Commie health care.

thank you. Very well put.
Brings to mind the old saying, “Two of a trade never agree.”
************************************************

Nazis are socialists. Sovietism and Nazism were competing forms of socialism, hence the antipathy between the two groups. The war between Stalin and Hitler was thus a religious war between two Socialist sects.
