But T.J. Bonner, president of the National Border Council, the union for Border Patrol agents, told FoxNews.com that the substance of the memo didn't surprise him. "Obviously, the impact of that policy is severe on our operations," he said. "When you can't drive in those areas, it makes it impossible to patrol and enforce the law, and it transforms it into a sanctuary for illegal aliens."

To see the FWS documents, go to www.peopleforwesternheritage.com and look under "What's New" for 7/9/10.

FWS memos expose the horrendous issues on federal land along the border in Arizona. I wonder how many FOIA requests it took to get these memos? If you are curious about why Arizona has such a significantly greater problem than the other border states of New Mexico, California, and Texas, the answer is that federal law and federal land management played a significant role in creating the perfect smuggling corridor.

Senator Bingaman (D-NM) is proposing legislation for Wilderness designation in New Mexico t create a new smuggling corridor. What in the heck are these legislators thinking?

I watched a downloaded movie SIN NOMBRE last night from Netflix.

Everyone should rent SIN NOMBRE to see graphically how we are being invaded by illegal aliens and in particular MS 13 gangs.

We need to deport or imprison ALL illegal aliens, including their anchor babies, seal/secure the border and SHOOT anyone who attempts to re-enter illegally.

Somebody tell me again how amnesty or worker ID’s will stop these drug runners from crossing the border into AZ.

The interesting point that is never talked about is that once you start to deport or imprison illegals, many will go back on their own. But......you have to start some place. Right now, the Feds won’t even start the process. If we imprison them, make it for five years or greater. That fear alone of being locked up for that long will make them think twice before staying here. Also, stop the anchor babies.

So true. Unfortunately, America has chosen to remain silent, emasculated, shy, and cowardly. Until someone wakes up and JUST THINKS WHAT IS COMING, the erosion of all of the America that so many died to create will continue.

One only needs to look back over all of the great generations that exceeded all expectations through all of our Constitutional provisions. Then, for some reason, we needed to CHANGE all of that. Why?

It is almost impossible to re-create it; not impossible to save it.

The article title is Memo Reveals Refuge Officers' Struggle to Secure Lands Along Southwest Border

If the Feds won't make an honest effort to preserve and protect the National Parks in Arizona, there's no reason to think they would be all that concerned about the rest of the border either. Since those parks are federal land, there should be no problem sending the military down there to take care of business, right?

Kinda what America should be all about now. The time for AZ to organize a State Militia, fully armed with modern weapons, and clean up the border and surrounding occupied land.

It seems to me that if the FEDS were doing their job, and we had a foolproof method of controlling the borders, then the charges of "racism" and "profiling" would be moot points, as we could be reltatively sure that people - no matter what their race, creed, or natural origing - were here LEGALLY.

Looking at it in that light, it is the left - the democrats - who are setting Arizona (and elsewhere) up for charges of "racism" and "profiling", and the immigration problem would eventually solve itself.

I’m right there with you on that. These people are stealing our childrens’ futures. How can anything be more offensive than that?

"The threat of violence posed by traffickers in drugs and people has affected the safety of staff and visitors, curtailing activities, negatively impacting recruitment and retention, and consuming a greater proportion of resource funding focused on law enforcement and security," the memo said.

If we'd had a responsible president anytime in the past twenty or so years, this insanity would have been stopped with thousands of National Guard troops years ago. But this negligence has been and continues to be deliberate on the part of presidents, many in Congress and many state officials, allowing illegal invaders to shut down parts of our National Park system.

A lot of shirkers in government would have to be replaced for this to be solved. And it would be very simple to solve.

Absolutely true. Arizona should establish a State Militia and according to the Constitution, it is their right to do so. Washington, especially the President, has stated the the border is the responsibility of the Federal government. OK fine. Let them control the border, but once the illegals enter into Arizona, it become Arizona’s responsibility.

The only "doable" plan is to seal the WHOLE border against illegal crossings, strengthen employer sanctions (possibly including some form of tamper-proof ID for all workers), enforce existing laws against entitlement fraud and then wait! If they can't leave and re-enter at will, get on the dole or find good paying jobs when their here, the undocumented will self-deport eventually.

With strong leaders and borders and about 40 years the problem is gone anyway!

This fits perfect. “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

“My brother in Tucson says that everything south of I-10 is posted as dangerous now.”

Your brother should know there is nothing out there to worry about, it is a very small area. Besides, it would cost too much and we wouldn’t be able to protect the area anyhow. It is just a little area of sovereign United States that has been invaded. The citizens of that area should have known how to speak Spanish already. Maybe we will take a look at this if it gets closer to Tucson and the Davis-Monthan AFB. But we probably don’t need that AFB anyway. Nothing more to worry about here. (SARC!)
