It was U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy's first time voting as a member of the highly coveted Appropriations Committee, and he did not obediently march in step.
Democrat Murphy joined the Republicans in support of an amendment that would have barred the Obama administration from using federal funds to sue Arizona over its anti-illegal immigration laws.
Murphy, who represents Bucks County, was the only Democrat to break ranks. The vote came June 29 at a committee meeting. Murphy alerted the public afterward in a news release. His suburban Philadelphia district has elected both Republicans and Democrats.

Murphy has an “unbreakable bond” to voters opposing illegal immigration; doesn’t expire until the Wednesday after election day.
Is this guy known for his courage (hey, he is a Democrat) or is he just reading the tea leaves?
He ought to sponsor legislation that states that everything Obama touches turns to crap. It would be called “Murphy’s Law.”
NEVER EVER TRUST A DEMOCRAT......ESPECIALLY BEFORE AN ELECTION!!

SAGE ADVICE!!!

He knows he's toast in November. You can be damn sure Nazi Pelousy approved his "no" vote in advance.
There was a surprisingly good article by William Gurn in today’s WSJ regarding prior attempts to pass an immigration bill. Whether you liked Bush’s bill or not, Bush did manage to get the Dems to agree on certain things that had always been sticking points (such as short-term guest workers, which the unions opposed) and each time, OBAMA personally undercut the agreements in order to prevent cooperation and force a much more radical plan (in one case, wholesale “family reunification” instead of the bill’s proposal of the immigrant’s qualifications and our need as an immigration criteria).
This was during Bambi’s brief stint in the Senate, when he seemed to show up only to destroy any rational discussion or agreement on the matter.
In other words, not only is he radical, but he refuses to work within the system and compromise in any way. But we’ve seen that in everything else. The question is when enough (or any) people in the legislature will stand up on their hind legs and fight back against this dictatorial approach, whether on the issue of immigration or any other.
Tell me this turd is on his way out. I just hope his RINO GOP opponent will not pick up the mantle of homosexualizing the military.
Well, thankee!!
