Phyllis Schlafly: No Women, Sarah Palin Included, Ready for White House
Politics Daily ^ | Ann Groer

Posted on 07/26/2010 6:37:01 PM PDT by pissant

At 85, Phyllis Schlafly has still got game.

The anti-feminist founder of the conservative Eagle Forum -- who counts Barry Goldwater's 1964 White House run and the 1982 death of the Equal Rights Amendment as exquisite victories and the "internationalist" presidencies of George Bush 41 and 43 as "not helpful to the Republican party" -- hasn't mellowed one whit.

That she made abundantly clear Thursday afternoon at the Conservative Political Action Committee conference in Washington.

Lord knows she still looks great, the poufy blonde hair perfectly lacquered, the fitted tweed jacket tricked out with her signature golden eagle brooch and tiny anti-abortion baby feet, her neck encircled by three stands of pearls and a chain from which dangled a cross of gold.

Watch it pissant, the Palinstinians are already putting the lipstick on the car bomb they’ll be dropping off in front of your house later this evening.

Michele Bachmann could step into the White House right now, and do as good or better than any man out there. She is infinitely more prepared than the effeminate loon we have in there right now. I do agree with Schlafly on Huckabee.

"Sarah Palin is the total package. She's got a cute husband. She's got a lot of kids."
She's speaking about someone who is having a MAJOR impact on the Republican nominating process nationally and promises to have a MAJOR impact on the 2010 elections.

I'm sorry. I know she was great in her day but these are the words of a true idiot.

And I'm NOT a "Palinstinian" or "Palinista" or whatever the latest buzzword for Palin-supporter is.

I argued strongly against Palin's support of McCain.

But the fact is, no matter what you think of her, Palin IS a major player and to dismiss her as a "cute package"... you know what? That's Maureen Dowd talk.

She's channeling Maureen Dowd here.

That's EXACTLY the kind of denigrating double-bull-sh*t that Maureen Dowd comes up with every day. And for it to come from the mouth of a "conservative". It's doubly sickening.

You know, Ronald Reagan had Alzheimer's but in his final public years -- the final years that we saw him -- he NEVER went soft like this. He NEVER started channeling Mike Dukakis. He was true conservative to the end. He had class. He had style. Despite his disease.

Shame, Phyllis. Shame on you. Double shame.

I’m not trying to weasel out of them. Go back and look at my posting history. You will find multiple calls to repeal the 19th amendment as well as many instances for me claiming it would take a thatcherite to get me to throw my support behind a chick.

Since I don’t think they should even be able to vote, what makes you think I’d want one as CIC.

If you are going to photo-shop it do it right!

It needs Alaskan landing gear and tires, A STOL kit with funky wing tips and "Vortex Generators"

For those of you in Reo-Linda, those are things that make a bushplane in Alaska get off the ground quicker and land slower :-)....

Because he’s trying to cover his arse. He is now on record as saying women shouldn’t vote. The cat’s outta the bag.

You got that right. That's simply impossible to explain away.

I think if he was a brit he wouldn't have voted for Thatcher either, much like he won't really back Bachmann if she was a contender for the nomination.

That's really hurting her, isn't it?

Phyllis Schlafly is a straight shooter! I respectfully disagree with her on this one. God knows, there are quite a number of women who are FAR more qualified than the current occupant of the White House...And Sarah is just ONE of them who is “ready.”

Does Duncan Hunter know you don’t want women to vote? How does he feel about that? Think he wants to be associated with someone who would deny over half the country the right to express their political opinion through the power of a level or punch card?

I can think of a few women I would rather see as president, than any of watered down Republican men in the running currently. However, I don't see any of those women ready to be president. By being “ready,” I include the attribute of being supported/backed, enough to win. Michele Bachmann, being my own personal favorite.

>> Methinks Phyllis burned hers with that remark.

As much as I admire Palin’s accomplishments, I’m not convinced she’s the best choice for 2012 either.

Today’s 40 somethings are like yesterday’s 30 somethings. I think we need 50 something candidates.
