Celebs who lean to the Right
CBS TV ^

Posted on 07/27/2010 10:07:34 AM PDT by grayhog

Pretty interesting compilation. Maybe CBS thinks they are "outing" these celebs. Provides me a good list of people to support. Lots of tough guy actors, NASCAR drivers and country singers. Surprised to see Brittney Spears on the list.

I agree, Example: Dixie Carter? Her liberal views were continually expressed on the program she had with those other libs. Can't even remember the name, but she was an interior decorator or something. Can't believe she is a Republican, but maybe she has changed her party desires recently.

She played Julia Sugarbaker in Designing Women and was a registered Republican. She had a clause in her contract that everytime her character Julia went on a liberal rant, she got to sing or dance in a future episode.

The writers of Designing Women, however, were not.

That is correct! The writers/producers were those famous FOBs - friends of the Clintons from Arkansas.

I was surprised to learn of some John Force(racing) remarks. He was disparaging Hannity and Beck in such a manner that one would think he is an Obama Democrat.

Joey Ramone was a registered Republican. Who would have thought?

I think you mean Johnny. Joey was a pretty big liberal.

Because Dixie Carter played a role, that makes her a liberal? How silly!

I have seen her interviewed and she is a conservative.

Actually Joey was a very hard core conservative from what I’ve read and what his friends and family have said. I’ve heard that for a long time now.

He attended the 2008 GOP Convention in Minneapolis.

But he is discreet about it, as he should be, especially if he wants to keep working.

"But he is discreet about it, as he should be, especially if he wants to keep working."

Is this the conservative version of being on the down low?

Pretty much.

Plus, I personally prefer when actors just stick to their craft and don’t go spouting off about politics.

John Voight is the exception, of course, because he makes so damn much sense.

I didn’t mean to be silly, I truly thought she was a liberal. Others here have corrected me without calling me silly. I did not even know she had passed away, that’s how much attention I pay to the “stars.”

I didn’t say you were silly. Just what you said was silly. Actors play all sorts of roles; it’s called acting.

Anyway, silly isn’t a bad thing. You should see my sister and me when we get together. :)

Hey...I do know what acting is. Thanks for your tact in correcting me, again. You told me something I did not know. /sarc.
