A Metro Police radio recording reveals new details about what happened in the minutes leading up to an officer-involved shooting at a Summerlin Costco last month that left a Las Vegas man dead.
The recording originally was posted on radioreference.com, which broadcasts live public safety audio feeds and archives law enforcement radio recordings. Portions of the audio also have been posted to YouTube.

Yeah they’ve already set it up that there’s no proof. Wonder how many witnesses will recant.

Wonder how many witnesses will recant.I'm sure there are some oddsmakers in LV taking bets on various parts of this story.

They dont allow legal carryNot posted in any Costco I've been in.
I've seen a couple of people with concealed carry and at least one open carry in a Costco in NC.

Not all Costco ban CCW’s. Gun forums say that it’s company policy that they don’t allow guns but some stores don’t enforce it.

If he had a gun and was shooting it, then the police did the right thing. That is what they are trained for. CCW, not shooting it. 71 seconds from first police contact to 7 police bullets & a Taser - 5 bullets in the back as he was lying on the ground. Basically executed for p*ssing off a Costco employee.
BTW - the police were shouting different commands, and Erik Scott flunked the pop multiple choice quiz.

There is no video as yet so, unless you were there, you don't know if that is true or not. It seems that there are too many here on FR who automatically blame the Police. As if there is no crime or crazy people in this perfect world. 71 seconds from first police contact to 7 police bullets & a Taser.

If I had a store and a security system like this you can bet you biddy i would have a backup system that would keep the last 100+ hours of footage on a hard drive that was hidden really well along with the rest of the contemporary recording equipment in case something like this happened or even in the case of recording failure. I guess I am paranoid about retaining data. Exactly. If you're going to go to the trouble to have a system with multiple cameras, go to the slight additional trouble to mirror it all over to another site that only you know about. They can seize or subpoena the one. They can't get the other unless you want to reveal its existence.

The complete tapes have NOT as yet been released. These are edited to make the cops look professional and justified. There is still an innocent man that was murdered.......no bystanders have come forward from that day to say he deserved killing. Not a one. Very telling. Where are the frightened shoppers from that day who were terrified by a man with a gun? The dang JetBlue steward case has the passengers slamming him already.....why not this guy? Maybe because he did nothing wrong. We need the whole truth to come out.

Geez, I don't need to tell YOU anything about this. I read your posts, and you've got the same skinny that I do.
Say, that posting guy on the Vegas news websites (SummerlinCC) sure takes a beating from the Metro sockpuppets, doesn't he?
Saw Erik's father post yesterday. There were Metro troll slime putting the diss on Erik.

SummerlinCC seems to have a lot of info. He also takes a lot of heat but doesn't seem to care.
I didn't see Mr Scott post. I haven't been reading as much, granddaughter is visiting. Did posters really have the gall to give the man a hard time?

That was absolutely said. I just don’t remember if it was a witness or newspaper that said it. Witnesses were posting on the news site in “Comments”.

Oh and I would park several blocks away from the pawn shop, wear gloves, wear a disguise, and when i used the laptop I would re-configure the MAC on the wireless card. And the cash would be cash that I aquirred by collecting change from fast food restaraunts over a period of several months and wearing gloves while receiving the change and putting into my coat pocket lined with a zip lock bag.

There's a paramilitary-type police defender on there named Det_Munch.
Det_Munch wrote: "As Retired Law Enforcement- YOU of all people should know "civilians" aren't the best when it comes to carrying and/or their own guns in certain situations. You on the other hand know how to react in a split second - civilians do not."
He apparently misspelled "civilian peasant"...
