For President Obama, there is no vacation from vacillation.

By the time he got to the beach this weekend, the controversy over his Friday speech seemingly supporting the proposed mosque at the 9/11 site left him so rattled, he could hardly wait to put on his flip-flops.

Even the hastily arranged Gulf vacation itself was more of a placation, as in placating those who complained his family time off had not included the BP-besieged Gulf shores, making his ringing words of support ring hollow.

Soon after he arrived he hastened to hollow out his words from the evening before, at the White House dinner marking the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

What would be the reaction of the Democrat Party activists pretending to be “Journalists”, if the Aryan Nation wanted to build an office for their organization next door to the hotel in Memphis where MLK Jr was assassinated?

I honestly don’t know if the mosque issue has taken hold with voters on a national level. Sure we at FR and other political sites are talking about it. Certainly it’s an issue in NYC and on talk radio. But I don’t know that Joe Shmoe in Peoria or Topeka has even heard about it.

EXCELLENT!!! That question needs to be sent to every e-mail address in America, to Rush, O'Reilly, Beck, VanSusteren, Hannity, Savage, Boortz, YouTube........

That one question could turn the midterm elections and the 2012 Presidential Election, to favor for Conservative candidates and principles. GREAT JOB MNJohnnie.

My elderly mother in law in Alabama not only heard of it but was outraged by it - that’s my indicator that this is a pretty well known issue (she doesn’t follow news or politics much)
