FR has not had a long thread of positive American uplifting spirit postings in a long while.
Things have been so negative around here I thought FRannibals had invaded the site.

On Glenn’s TV show last night he said if the Mall fills up that will hold 200,000 people and if the open grass area fills up that will be another 100,000 people. So watch for that.

I hate to be a wet blanket but just what does “The Weeper” hope to accomplish? Does he think Obama and co. are scared? They aren’t. I see this as one giant national Kum-By-Yah. I contribute to the wounded warrior fund anyway.
My family and I are driving down tomorrow morning from Laurel (halfway between DC and Balt).
Getting there via Metro won’t be too bad.. it’s the leaving that will be awful. So will drive.
We were going to try to park near the Air & Space Museum about 8 AM, but given some of the expected crowd estimates... will have to rethink that plan.
I’d say the purpose, or one of the purposes, is to stir up the masses. We have too many complacent apathetic citizens here who need a fire lit under their azzes.
For one thing....I think a rally like this does provide energy and support for those thousands of us who health wise can’t do much. It makes us feel like there are indeed many others who feel as we do and hopefully those watching will also be motivated to get off the couch and do something. I work on phone calls...mailings...emails...all from home.....but would give anythng to be out there on the ground like I used to do. nothing like that energized feeling So while you may look at it as a useless project..there are many who look at it to re-energize people....Oh yes, I also contribute money..and time to the Wounded Warrior project......

I look forward to replies to your question. A call for restoring honor seems to be a good thing. Seeing hundreds of thousands flocking to DC in support of this effort seems to be a good thing.
What if the TEA party had stayed home last year? What did they accomplish by inundating DC? Is it all for nothing?
LOL. For which other rallys do they give crowd estimates the day before it even begins!
BE AWARE that yesterday GOOGLE Maps was giving the WRONG information on the location of the Lincoln Memorial. They were showing the FDR memorial instead. I reported it as a problem. I think Map Quest is OK.

I just read that Tony LaRussa and Albert Pujols from the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team will be there. How about that! I just gained a newfound respect for both of them.

I just came back from picking up lunch and saw two people wearing “Restoring Honor” t-shirts - I said I’d see them at the rally tomorrow! Of course I actually WON’T, there’s almost no chance of finding anyone, but, TR, we will try.
Someone answered you but I have an observation.
A lot of "talkers" have fill-ins or best of shows by scanning the dial last night and today, Savage, Levin, Prager can you name any-others?
The point is, I do not think they want their shows deluged with questions on Glenn and his 8/28 since in many ways he is a competitor.
I think they may even be uncomfortable with him, this rally and what he is doing in general.
Anyone else feel this way?
