You got to see this video.
There was no need for the sheriff to even be there.

They should just shut up.
This is going from asinine overreaction to criminal conspiracy.

I have watched the video several times and I don’t see the man charging anyone. Seems like he was just getting up from his seated position.
As a retired police officer I am usually 100% behind police action, but on this one I have to go with the video proof and a question the judgment of the officer using the Taser.

There was one of those "three attorney" panels on FOX earlier today about this incident.....there may be MUCH more than meets the eye. I haven't gone to the link to see the video, but one of the lawyers said there was more than 30 minutes taped on this incident involving a threatening and 'suicidal' old fart. He was supposedly cajoled, pleaded with, and then warned over and over and over.
I ain't taking sides on this -- just adding input from someone who spent a lot of time viewing the entire scenario.

But was he attacking when he was tased?
The only part of the video that the jury will remember is this guy attempting to get up and being tased. As I said in my post, I didn’t see an attack. It seems that the only argument the police have in justifying the taser is that he was attacking them and I don’t see it ... unless he did it early in the video and I have watched it ... don’t see it.
You don’t tas someone just because they don’t won’t to go to the hospital.

While they are lighting the guy up with the taser, and he is curled up in a ball from the pain, the dumbass cop keeps repeating "Stop resisting!" and uses the "non compliance" as an excuse to keep lighting him up.
"We the people" need to start hunting these thugs down.
It is the only way it will ever stop.

It will stop when our police stop covering up for the criminals in their ranks. The bad cops are taking the good ones down.

"We the people" need to start hunting these thugs down.We just need to keep them accountable. No 'hunting down' required. With all the means we have to keep these types of hotheads in the public eye, it should be enough.
I'd settle for the victim getting some retirement means, the sheriff and deputy get FIRED, ineligible for any future law jobs, forbidden to carry a fire arm or taser.

Having a compact umbrella handy would make an impromptu shield.
Better yet is an umbrella that will also fire a taser.

Why were they even there?
Has the news said anything about that?
Regardless, they could have subdued him rather then tase.

Whatever. But if someone uses a taser on MY Dad under those circumstances, they can bet their life that me and my brothers are coming.
