God, I wish we had the guts to do something like that today.
We are not prosecuting this war against radical islam to its fullest because we’re too damned afraid of upsetting someone.

I do not give a rat’s ass about the pastor burning korans. I have no respect for islam, nor do I accept the idea that islam is actually a religion. It is a political ideology, like nazism.
That being said, could someone tell why the pastor shouldn’t defer to Petraeus when he advises against the burning? I’m sure a man like Petraeus would not speak about the matter if he did not have the safety of his troops as his concern. Does anyone think that he’s just obeying obozo by denouncing the pastor? Just asking.
So the Obama administration’s position, and this imam’s, appears to be that we can’t offend Islam because there will be violent reprisals.
I intend to remember that next time someone says calling Muslims violent is bigoted.
They are used to saying “the muslim world will explode” and then getting their way. Like the racist charge, that no longer holds any weight. We are past the point of caring if it explodes.

Fox and Friends’ Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade both stated that the Imam was threatening America. I heard his words this morning on radio and that’s what I thought immediately.
He said (and this is not verbatim) “If America doesn’t build this mosque the entire islamic world will rise in outrage.”
Here’s our choice: (1) Do what they say, or (2) They will attack somehow, somewhere (rise in outrage)
Threat is how Islam works...conversions are at the threat of beheadings, tranquility is only on their terms, lying is ok if it advances islam (taqiyah), and once the message has been delivered (dawa) to convert to islam and sharia, after that the only response is attack (jihad). Following the attack sharia will be imposed.
That is the belief system. You can look it up. It is no different than a blueprint for overthrowing other cultures. It is NOT “religion”. It has more in common with any other prescription for overthrowing government (marxist-leninism, mao-ism’s red book)

NEW YORK – The imam behind a proposed Islamic community center and mosque near ground zero cautioned Wednesday that moving the facility could cause a violent backlash from Muslim extremists and endanger national security.
Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf told CNN that the discourse surrounding the center has become so politicized that moving it could strengthen the ability of extremists abroad to recruit and wage attacks against Americans, including troops fighting in the Middle East.
"The headlines in the Muslim world will be that Islam is under attack," he said, but he added that he was open to the idea of moving the planned location of the center, currently two blocks north of the World Trade Center site.
"But if you don't do this right, anger will explode in the Muslim world," he later said, predicting that the reaction could be more furious than the eruption of violence following the 2005 publication of Danish cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad.
I remember when Atlanta hosted the Olympics and Coca Cola created commemorative cans displaying flags of the many nations participating. The muslims through a hissy fit (with implied or implicit threats therein) because the Saudi flag was printed on a can. The Saudi flag has scribble on it which is apparently from the koran. Of course, Coca Cola capitulated. Maybe someone should throw a Saudi flag on the fire...

The "moderate" Muslims, like Imam Rauf, are merely playing the their "good" role in the centuries old "good-cop bad-cop" routine of the Islamic Jihad.
It's call the "Cordoba Project" for a reason. Surrender and deserve your dhimmitude. (If you believe the Imam's fairy tales of ecumenical equality during Islamic rule of Cordoba, then take the time to google the names of honest scholars of Islamic history such as "Bat Ye'or", "Andrew Bostom", "Jacques Ellul"....)
