LOL, after awhile it becomes very easy to dismiss all the morons here who overuse (and misuse) the word "RINO". I'm to the point now where their posts evaporate before my eyes. Chafee and Specter were RINOs, Jeffords and Castle were RINOs. Beyond that, there are really not too many others. Probably Kirk in Illinois is a RINO, and Arnold in California. Same with Snowe and Collins. There's a handful of others to be sure, but not many. Personally, my cutoff is about a 70 ACU rating. A rating of 70 to 80 demonstrates cowardice more than anything else.

Dole had a 91 ACU rating in 1995 and a 90 in 1996.

We have to remember that the man is 87 years old.
In 2009, he was hospitalized for an elevated heart rate and sores on his leg for which he underwent a successful skin graft procedure. In February 2010, he was hospitalized for pneumonia after undergoing knee surgery. People grow old and grow sickly.

Senator Dole has great timing. I pray his surgery goes well.
I don’t know, SueRae. All I can see with a cursory search are issues that predate this situation, whatever it is. It looks like he has been in and out of the hospital for many months for a variety of issues and complications. It looks like some leg surgery last year ended up with complications that required skin grafts, and that he then contracted pneumonia. Surgery was scheduled for the other leg, and perhaps this is it.
At his age and in these circumstances, his public support of O’Donnel speaks volumes. I would think he would find any hospital stay a trial, given what he went through with his arm.
So many of that generation are gone now, to our loss.
