JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) -- Alaska's Republican party is asking nominee Joe Miller to concede the U.S. Senate race to incumbent Lisa Murkowski.
State GOP chair Randy Ruedrich says the party "stands ready to embrace" Murkowski as "Alaska's only Republican U.S. senator." He called on Miller to respect the will of the voters and to "end his campaign in a dignified manner."

Don’t forget the outside GOP assistance immediately after the primary upset. The pieces of this Frankenstyle monster were assembled then. This is AK and DC Republican nomenklatura at work.
Murkowski’s father tried to snooker the bridge to nowhere, the daughter is working on the GOP’s bridge to oblivion.
This is exactly what is wrong with the two party system. If we do not get a third party I suppose I will have to quit voting.

I respectfully disagree. This is what is wrong with a bifurcated Washington party collaborating to protect its privileged status. We need a second party, which represents adherence to traditional liberties and the rule of law.
As Murkowski did when she lost the primary?
If she had conceded the primary to Miller, then endorsed him and threw her weight behind his campaign this mess would have never materialized.
But in choosing to run a write-in campaign she gave democrats a chance to meddle in the election and vote for the RINO in order to keep the conservative from walking away with a big win.
