Obama Caves on Taxes

On Air Force One, spokesman Bill Burton told reporters that Pres. Obama is confident a tax cut compromise will be struck in next few days.

Spokesman says Obama will not sign a tax cuts extensions for wealthy unless bill also includes exentsion of unemployment benefits.

Obama also wants stimulus tax breaks extended as part of the deal as well.

I guess we don’t need to teach them elementary parliamentary procedure, but I sure hope they hold out for more than a two year extension.

Otherwise, no matter who wins the 2012 election, Obama will be in a position to use the next lame-duck session to block any further extenstion. And he would have nothing to lose in that case, blocking the extension and leaving the Republicans to straighten out the resultant mess.

I hope this is wrong, because I would prefer that nothing got passed in the lame duck session.

The longer they take on this the less time they have to spend pushing other stuff we dont want votes on right now like DADT.

DADT has no chance of passing come January, all that sort of stuff needs to be put off until the new Republicans are seated.

The term “tax cut” needs to be dropped in favor of “current tax rate extension”. The Dem/Libtards use the term to try to make the current rates appear as an abnormal aberration that needs to be corrected by increasing them. When we use the same phraseology we allow ourselves to be played.

When the GOP is sworn in they not to start cutting the fed budget. Dept of (Racial In-) Justice should get their budget cut 50%.
