From your source:
“Sarah Palin tweets:
Obviously Obama is so very, very wrong on the economy & spins GOP tax cut goals; so fiscal conservatives: we expect you to fight for us & America’s solvency.”
-
“What is she talking about? It is obvious that an extension of the Bush tax cuts are wrong? Or is it obvious that Obama is adopting ideas that were once Republican positions? If the latter, it should be a good thing, one would think. This is Palin at her worst — reflexively anti-deal making, grandstanding, imprecise and unreasoned. If she has a specific policy argument — e.g. the payroll tax “costs” too much for too little job growth — then you’d think she, who has been accused of being light on policy knowledge, would want to spell . . er . . . tweet that out.”

He IS wrong on the economy and the Obama spins about the “tax cuts” — and we do really need fiscal conservatives FIGHTING for us and America’s solvency. Sarah’s right, though she should have elucidated a bit more via Facebook rather than limit herself to Twitter. (Or at least get Twitlonger.)

Yes, well I can’t be held responsible for Jennifer Rubin being unable to understand twitter-speak.

It’s not like there aren’t other sources explaining that Palin is on board with DeMint’s objections to the compromise. But all the articles that explained that were about her “endorsing” somebody else’s tweet. This was the only article I found that had a tweet from HER in it.

Rubin’s criticism is reflexively socialist: tax -cuts bad etc.

Also she seems to have deliberately forgotten that Twitter has a character limit.

Sen DeMint is right on the money.

This was a RINO-Obama deal

To be clear though, that quote wasn’t FROM palin, it was from another tweeter — conservative commentator Jedediah Bila.

Palin endorsed that tweet, so I assume she echoes that; this article had an actual tweet from Palin.

I agree, although I’m probably not going to be up in arms if the deal passes. It’s not what we should be doing, but it isn’t like Obamacare or something.

I’ll be a lot more upset if the stupid republicans give ADDITIONAL concessions to get it passed. If this leads to a DREAM act, or DADT repeal, or passing the START treaty, then I’ll really be pissed.

Hey! How is keeping the status quo on decade old tax rates for only another 24 months and increasing spend by nearly another trillion dollars by turning unemployment "insurance" into another entitlement "rocking chair" program like socialist western Europe in line whatsoever with the last election???

It looks to me like you and the top leadership of the Repellican Party cannot see the forest for the trees!!! We don't want another in a long series of losing compromises... we want clear cut victories!!! (and I do mean "clear cut")

Which means that they should oppose the deal, right?

You are wrong. She is stating disappointment in the deal especially when it comes to raising some taxes and increasing benefits to the unemployed. The RINOs love this deal because it was Bush’s baby

Do nothing and everyone’s taxes will go up. It may be possible to retroactively repeal them after January but businesses need to be able to plan and make decisions for the future. If people just get money to spend, we will not see a supply side effect.

She is not out in front and leading on this issue. She is following. The first Republican I heard come out against it was Hugh Hewitt yesterday, not long after the deal was announced. He interviewed, among others, Jim DeMint. Hugh told DeMint about his objections to the proposal and also to a couple of chairmen-designate in the House. Later in the day DeMint came out against the deal. So did Mark Levin. Palin is late to the party on this issue.

Regardless of who is involved, announcing within the first 24 hours in a 24 hour news cycle counts as being out in front, in my book at least.

But that way, decisions are made by the same congress that is still sitting, with Dem control in all 3 houses with absolutely NO input from freshmen coming in off a historic landslide not seen since my childhood in 1948. In my opinion, she's not objecting nearly enough! It should be with righteous indignation!!!

Sliding up to a month into 2011 with a retro out of Clinton rates would be well worth the correcting action and would take the issues out of the next election by making the current rates permanent!!! (to say nothing of a huge increase in estate taxes to over a third of what a family accumulated after a lifetime of being taxed each year)

Everybody should be trying to throw this creature from the swamp in D.C. down into hell!!!

You can't continue to compromise with evil, even though we've been in the habit of it!!!

Wow. I can read your kind of crap all day over in the comments section of the Huffington Post.

When you start parroting the dishonest liberal narrative, you really need to check yourself.
