I was just in my local Chinese Takeout, and the fellow behind the counter said that the credit card networks were screwed up tonight. Could be nothing, or the beginning of the Zombie Apocalypse.
Anybody else seeing anything like this?

By ‘zombie’ I assume you mean ‘vitality challenged’.
The ‘vitality challenged’ are an important, and growing, segment of our society.

Rebel, do you think they’ll be fast or slow zombies?
I see movies where people who have never handled guns before are scoring head shots on Undead, and they’re really scooting along.
I’m guessing they’ll move something like old people at the mall first thing in the morning. Strong start, then they slow to a Mummy-like speed.

I saw a few zombies at the local DNC office. Nothing unusual.

I went to an Ashley furniture store once, it had 3 aisles.
As I entered the door 3 salespeople began to approach me from the 3 aisles. Each wanted to be the first to greet me.
They began slowly walking up the aisles, trying to appear nonchalant, but as they noticed their cohorts, each began to walk faster and faster, and were darn near trotting at the end.
I imagine zombies might behave in a similar manner to those commissioned salespeople, slow at first, then faster and faster.
;)

Furniture stores are the worst, you’re right: A salesman practically hurdled a hassock trying to get to me once.
I plan to avoid them when the rotting undead arise from their graves brandishing their expired debit cards.

We went to dinner with friends and when we paid the cashier said the network was very slow this evening.

In metaphorical terms the Zombie Apocalypse is what will happen when the gubbment checks stop and the EBT cards stop working. The zombies will empty out of the cities in search of food. Incidentally, as this has become apart of the American lexicon ammo sales have skyrocketed.

Today is the first day the IRS will allow anyone to file for your 2010 refund, and people don’t wait for the W-2 in the mail, they get it from W2-Express. Today.
So you have 50 million earned income credit people banging machines everywhere today for the refund.

Right. Thanks for the info. Makes sense I guess, if you’re a zombie cultist and follower of pop culture nonsense.
Well, not really. I like the ammo part though.
