Levin: Obama is still the one he’s been waiting for
therightscoop ^ | Jan 26, 2011 | Mark Levin

Levin writes this morning his insightful analysis of Obama and his SOTU speech. Bottom line is that Obama hasn’t changed one bit even though the political world is talking as though he has:

“We are the ones we have been waiting for,” as he famously said about himself and his supporters. He’s not going to allow a single mid-term election, driven by what he perceives to be yahoos and miscreants, change the course of history — his history or the nation’s. Too many commentators just don’t comprehend this man.

I didn’t burden myself by watching the POS but it was disturbing to see the GOP Speaker standing behind the one, who was giving his best Mussolini pose, applauding the one. The GOP just doesn’t seem to get it that this would-be dictator deserves no respect, no applause and no democrat deserves any either. The democrat party is the enemy of the Constitution and showing them the respect that they consistently refuse to show any conservative or the Constitution is an insult to the public who voted them back into power in the house.

FUBO & FAD

Excellent graphic. What is crazy is that I saw the actual conversation and genesis of this between the both of you. Great turnaround time!

We (meaning govt.) are going to “Invest” more money (which isn’t their’s anyway) in our “Future”.

Today’s $14 Trillion dollar debt burn is Yesterday’s “Investing in the Future”

Dear God, will someone Please wake me up and tell me it’s Election day 2012?

Then you are speaking out of ignorance. Had you watched you would have seen that Boehner was very reserved and clapped sparingly. Watching Boehner's reactions or lack thereof was the one reason I kept tuned in. He had the look of "Is this over yet?" It was rather quite amusing.

This is Mark Levin at his best:

"Our focus must be victory and we must not be distracted by the symbolism, games, ways, and intimidation tactics of those who’ve brought this great nation to this perilous point."

Since I didn’t watch the campaign speech, I’m referring to the photo on the Fox website this morning. I don’t care if he was clapping sparingly or enthusiasticly this self-proclaimed messiah deserves NO respect and that is the point. Boehner and any other Republican are not required to clap, smile or give any other indication of homage or respect. The democrats have proved this over and over again during SOTU addresses by Reagan and Bush. Aside from that, the SOTU long ago became a campaign pep rally for the sitting president and I have not watched one as far back as I can remember. Boehner would have been better off sending the message to the regime by NOT inviting the one to present the SOTU in the house chambers; there is no requirement or law that mandates this sham every year.

RE :”Bottom line is that Obama hasn’t changed one bit even though the political world is talking as though he has:

He has changed to the extent that he is playing to independents for 2012 following the polls closely, the past two years with Pelosi running the House he played to the liberal base first. Many predictions last year that Obama wouldnt sign a tax cut extension bill, those predictions were short sighted.

Prepare for a more warm and fuzzy ‘less-partision get-along’ act from Obama as he plays to the polls like Clinton did in 1995.

"Great turnaround time!"

Thanks...turnaround time is one of my biggest bugaboos in doing these...I see a post that inspires a graphic, and then it's scrolled off the board before I finish it.

But this one was pretty easy, ClearCase_guy did all of the work with his original post, my part was just cut and paste. I've developed my templates and everyday I collect graphics of principal players in my "clip art file", so as to minimize my turnaround time.

But I appreciate your kind remarks.

“President Obama’s foot remains where it has been since the day he entered the Oval Office, on the gas pedal.”

Funny, I always thought it was in his mouth.

Boehner and ALL the Republicans applauded and stood, when Obama gave a shout out to the Military. We know Obama didn't mean it but just how would it have looked if ALL the Republicans sat there not responding?

At times, he looked like it was taking every ounce of willpower he possessed not to jump up and down and start screaming “Bullsh&t!”

So when Obami states we should applaud the service of our men in women in uniform, Boehner should not clap?

Boehner clapped when he heard something he liked or when Obama mentioned something worth clapping about...Recovery of Rep Giffords, Our Military, No one here (in congress) would change places with any other citizen of any other country of the world, etc...

Obama said some things that any civilized person attending the event would applaud whether he (Obama) really meant it or not.

This is silly. SOTU in the House chambers is a great tradition that should be kept. It is very American.
