The fading power of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's government leaves Israel in a state of strategic distress. Without Mubarak, Israel is left with almost no friends in the Middle East; last year, Israel saw its alliance with Turkey collapse.

Young Marine: (eyes widening) "100 to 1!?" (The thought of it has him jumping up and down with excitement. His helmet bouncing around on his head.) "SIR! THEY DON'T STAND A CHANCE, SIR!"

And that young marine was BALLS, DEAD NUTS SPOT ON!

Israel has many friends in the US, Christian and Jew alike.
Tragically, there is no support for Israel in the White House and the pro-Islam State Dept under SOS Clinton. And little support for Israel in the Democrat Party which has veered to the far Left.

Israel currently stands alone, without any allies.

Except Greece...

***I don’t think Egypt is really Israel’s friend.***

Not the first time.. Remember when Syria, Egypt and Jordan formed the United Arab Republic against Israel?

The Muslims will be licking their chops soon because Israel has no friends in the Middle East. But, Israel does have one friend...God! God is not going to allow Israel to be destroyed! He is going to take the Muslims down before too long! He will allow the nations to gather and threaten Israel but He will perform a miracle and send the nations home with their tails in between their legs!

“Don’t forget that in The Revelation of John, in the end, Israel is without friends. Things be happening.”

I bet there is going to be a “all this can end if Israel agrees to Palestinian demands” call from Obama to Bibi.

And the UN will demand Israel fix this.

If I was Bibi, I would just nuke Damascus and Tehran and be done with it. A Patton said: “We are here and we are going to have to fight them eventually, might as well do it now.”

"The important one is how many and what type of enemies will Israel have when Cairo falls?"

The majority of American Jews including Wall Street and Hollywood types have never had any interest in preserving their historical homeland! History is only relevant to them when publicly while striking down an imaginary antisemitic or non-progressive group or individual. Therefore I believe the American left will also become a more exposed and enjoined enemy of Israel as well.

GOD will bless Israel; fortunately for all.

Israel has never pleased God when it has sought out allies.

A lot of people are going to die until they realize that they need to turn to God first.

God have mercy on Israel!

That’s a rather good, and frightening, point you make.

Israel will be pushed and pushed until she relents (prophetic) she will then rely on outsiders to protect her. Those outsiders will then turn on Israel to the point where Israel will almost be destroyed. Then guess who happens upon the scene?

Well, correct me if I’m mistaken on these, Egypt is primarily Sunni, so is Hamas, Hezbolah, Muslim brotherhood, and Syria. Iran is primarily Shiite, so is Jordan, Lebanon, Fatah, and majority Iraq.

No. Egypt is Sunni and so is Jordan. Hamas, like Egyptian Islamic Jihad (Zawahiri's group, part of Al Qaeda), Al-Gama'a al-Islamiyya ("The Islamic Group", that of the Omar Abdel-Rahman), Hamas, Hizb ut-Tahrir, and the various local branches/franchises/regional cell aggregates of Islamic Jihad are all children of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Fatah/PLO/PA is Sunni, with some Christians.
Syria is majority Sunni (70%?), but that is meaningless. The Alawi splinter of Shia Islam dominates the Baath party. The Muslim Brotherhood tried to take over Syria in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Assad responded brutally to a revolt in Hama. The city was essentially leveled by artillery, with up to 40,000 killed. Syria is allied to Shia Iran.
Lebanon is roughly 1/3 Christian, 30% Sunni, 30% Shi'ite, 5% Druze. Many of the Sunni are Syrian puppets. The Shi'ites are reoresented by Iranian backed Amal and Hiuzbullah.

Iraq is majority Shi'ite but there are plenty of Sunni Arabs and Kurds.

Nile to Euphrates. Forget Ramallah, Israel will be debating settlements around Amman, Damascus and Alexandria. (Just kidding)

I’m with you! But it may very well turn out we can defend her by fighting her “enemies” right here in the U.S.A.

An alliance between Israel and Syria would be horrible. If it did come to pass, the first casualty will be Lebanon. Syria has wanted to get back in ever since George W Bush helped to kick it out.

Israel has the only friend she needs-
the Lord of all creation.
The rest of us Best get on board and support her as well as we can, because her enemies will end with a quick and terrible demise.
Be of good cheer. This stuff is foretold. Watching it unfold is a surreal experience, but should serve to press you MORE into faith, not scare you away.

The author Aluf should be renamed haloof. (that’s Arabic for fool)

Other Jews and Israelies are smart. Just shut up and wait for the dust to settle.

Well, if you’ve read The Revelation of John, you’ll soon see that Israel is left alone. She’ll reach out for help and it will be given her. But, when all is peace and safety, those friends will turn on her. When Israel is about to be crushed, Messiah will return. That’s the whole scenario. I suggest you read The Revelation of John in the NIV. It’s in plain English and reads quite easily.
