more BUNK ! Quit the “sky is falling” crap and put down the KOOL-AID ! As YOURSELF this question..
If you are behind on your MORTGAGE and maxed out your credit cards because you have been using them to pay your mortgage for so long that you reached your credit limit... do you.. BEG FOR ANOTHER CREDIT CARD or DOWNSIDE YOUR HOUSE ! Because YOU are obviously living above YOUR means !!
WE THE PEOPLE are the creditors the United States Government is behind on their mortage and REFUSE to sell their MONSTROUS MANSION house and DOWNSISE to a house they can afford !! ... are WE THE PEOPLE going to raise their credit limit or cut the crap now !!
You can't be 'behind' on your mortgage. Please look up the definition of 'mortgage'.
To downsize, we have to get rid of the house we have.
Downsizing would be good but it takes time and you may have to do a short sale or foreclosure on your existing house which would mean you would not be able to buy another house and would have to rent. Your credit would be shot.
Honestly, I did not see your 43 before I posted 44.
Keep the toys and live with your parents!
AMEN !! Our “house” is a monstrosity that liberals love and expect conservatives to pay for... enough already !! WE THE PEOPLE need to take back our Country NOW ! This STARTS with starving the BEAST ! Raising the debt ceiling is throwing a steak to the BEAST that has backed against the wall.... WE CONTROL THE FOOD SUPPLY OF THE BEAST ! If we STARVE it then it will die.. and we can get back to work !
lol.. I did that when I was 18... but I eventually grew up ! It is time for WE THE PEOPLE TO GROW UP TOO !
You are considering letting the house go for foreclosure. Are you also considering burning it down?
Please leave the “sky is falling” lines to the liberals.. it is time for the conservatives need to take the BULL BY THE HORNS.... own the problem and FIX IT ! WASHINGTON IS ADDICTED TO THE CREDIT that WE THE PEOPLE have been extending for WAYYYYY TOO LONG... time to cut off of credit NOW !
But why would YOU support a candidate that ran a continuing campaign deficit?
Don’t lecture me on foreclosure... 10 years ago I had a house get foreclosed ON.. it was a VERY humbling experience that I have PAID FOR many times over ... This “black mark” has just now been removed from my credit report and my family have been FORCED to live within our means because getting “more credit” was not an option !
We are MUCH better off NOW because of this humbling expereince..... Do you think if I could have gotten more credit and avoid foreclosure I would have done so? probably so...... but would I have learned the life lesson? probably not..
Not sure I wanted my personal business on the internet.. but I have LIVED personally what I am suggesting others do...
“There isnt much choice. Tax revenues barely cover the cost of interest on the national debt and Health and Human Services. If they dont raise the debt ceiling, they would have to shut down the government.”
Actually that isn’t quite correct. Only any given day the interest on the debt is maybe only 6% of the revenue take in that day. There are 3-4 ways the govt gets money to pay the bills so if we don’t raise the debt ceiling they will just juggle things around and get money from one of the other sources. If we do not raise the debt ceiling little Timmy Geinther will just have to figure out what to cut in order to keep paying the interest on the T-Bills. We will not default on our debts. Its just scare talk by the Dims as usual.
I wasn't lecturing you on foreclosure. You brought up downsizing, I was discussing the problems of downsizing.
But as they say, if you want to learn how to do something right, do you ask the guy that has done it right or do you ask the guy that failed to do it right?
exactly !!!
I knocked over my coffee cup and fell backwards in my chair when I read that!
I guess you can say my LIFE is an open book no deep dark secrets for me.. shall I post my SSN too?
downsizing responsibly and avoiding foreclosure is the right thing... borrowing more money to “keep the house you can’t afford” is NOT an option anymore..
IF you are suggeszting that I am one who has NOT done it right because I had a house foreclosed on 10 years ago I suggest you do a bit more research on me before you fire off stupid comments like that..
A trillion here, a trillion there and pretty soon you're talking real money.
