Then he deepens his voice for effect and adds: "And I like that lady—Sarah Palin. She's great. I like the cut of her jib."

The former governor of Alaska, he says, "is in the good tradition of America, which this awful political correctness business goes against." Plus: "She's got courage. That's very important in politics. You can have all the right ideas and the ability to express them. But if you haven't got guts, if you haven't got courage the way Margaret Thatcher had courage—and [Ronald] Reagan, come to think of it. Your last president had courage too—if you haven't got courage, all the other virtues are no good at all. It's the central virtue."

I wish I shared his optimism.

He’s wrong. There is a rising population of idiot leftists and anti-America immigrants.

There is no limit to stupidity and what it can accomplish. Stupidity can destroy 1000X more than what genius can build.

I tend to agree with this man. All this gloom and doom defeatism needs to stop, regardless of who predicts what or what prices rise.

Even America's Founders warned that an enlightened citizenry, a "virtuous" people, and a need to "watch over" the government would be necessary to the preservation of American liberty.

The following statement by Sir Winston Churchill, upon leaving office as Prime Minister in 1945, was prophetic for Great Britain, and as it turns out, the United States and the world:

"I do not believe in the power of the State to plan and enforce. No matter how numerous are the committees they set up or the ever-growing hordes of officials they employ or the severity of the punishments they inflict or threaten, they can't approach the high level of internal economic production achieved under free enterprise. Personal initiative, competitive selection, and profit motive corrected by failure and the infinite processes of good housekeeping and personal ingenuity, these constitute the life of a free society. It is this vital creative impulse that I deeply fear the doctrines and policies of the socialist government has destroyed. Nothing that they can plan and order and rush around enforcing will take its place. They have broken the main spring and until we get a new one, the watch wil not go. Set the people free. Get out of the way and let them make the best of themselves. I am sure that this policy of equalizing misery and organizing society--instead of allowing diligence, self-interest and ingenuity to produce abundance--has only to be prolonged to kill this British Island stone dead."

Absolutely true about Sarah. A must for the future in America, she is smart, brave, a great communicator, a person of excellent good character, and integrity and stands for her values, a Christian, family, Mother, and knows how to work and make decisions. A common sense conservative republican.

I agree Sarah is exactly what we need. The libersls know this, which is why they constantly attack her with lies and twisted versions of whatever she says and does.

The progressives are very afraid of her skill and connections to the American people.

On top? Yes. Dead fish ALWAYS float to the surface. As long as our government is subjugated by a madman and his religious jihadist, socialist, perverted and antisocial henchmen, we will always be in this position.

In some weird way, I'd like to think some sane historian of the future will look on that blip of history, America, and say to himself "It was a grand experiment undone by its own freedom and tolerance." However, I don't think that's going to happen. The future will either be Chinese, or it will be Islam. And, if it is Islam, there won't be any 'history'; it will be the Koran and the entire world will be living in "Year One" perpetually.

The only hope for the country to remain anything like the one one founded by our fathers is for an intervention by God.

How ever we have turned our back on Him and He has turned us over to our new god that we put our faith and trust in .

Ourselves. Man.

Men who's heart is like our own "desperately wicked" as the Word of God tells us and has been proven to be true by History.

We were warned in the seventies that our government was too big and growth was out of control.

We were warned by leaders of the past of the take over of our government by the rich both individuals and giant monopolistic corporations yet we fell for the free trade bit and let them form these giant companies which either buy or destroy anything that stands in their way to greater profits.

Now they have become so rich and powerful they have corrupted all areas of our government and our electoral system.

They have also eliminated the key price control element, needed to keep greed in check and spur research and development. That element is competition between companies in the same market.

Without competition you have a monopoly that controls that commodity's supply and price and if it is a vital one such as food, clothing, water, power/energy,medicine, or one that can affect the supply and the price of them all then the people and the country is at the mercy of greedy men who's appetite for more money and power is insatiable .

That's where we are at.

The majority of the money in the world is already in the hands of the few and they own the leaders of our government, who are on their behalf, taking more of it from the majority of the people each year to funnel into the pockets of those who own them .

It has passed the point to where the demand on the people who actually supply the ridiculous amount they demand can no longer have the things he needs for him and his family to have the things they need.

I'm from an earlier time and I no longer need so called experts to tell me what, my eyes, ears, my years, common sense, fourth grade math and my Savior Jesus Christ tells me.

This country is broke and the world is in trouble and the rich and powerful are pushing them both to the edge of rebellion and the key tool is oil .

What they hope to gain is more money and power, but based on proven history they always go too far and what they get is not what they expect, but a living nightmare of death and destruction and no off switch or undo key.

It's our missionary attitude.

Kennedy gave us a perpetually broken budget, government employee unions, and an American-minority America. He sold out Cuban freedom fighters, almost causing nuclear war a few years later. And Republicans keep calling him one of ours because he lowered taxes. Pathetic.
