I watched a Glenn Beck show, maybe one last week, where one of his guests made the point that the progressives don’t have any understanding of what they are aiding and abetting in their unholy alliance with activist islam. He said they don’t understand the religious mind, and don’t know to fear them.

Same here; the left doesn’t understand righteous causes, so they are unable to understand why the Tea Party has had the impact it has. Their projection: money, because that is one of the things that drives them.

The pendulum has been swinging their way for 60 years.

It has reached its apex.

The future for them is filled with nothing but heartbreak and despair.

Progressives ponder why tea party is kicking their butts

It might be because the leftist really don't put any effort into their non sense protests.

Kicking their butts? When Boehner and the rest of the RINO limp-wrists in the house bend over for the left yet again?? Sorry...but I don’t get it.

"Progressives' (a.k.a. liberals) have been getting their way for most of the past century and now, with Obama, into this one. Their destructive policies and programs, based on fallacies and Utopian dreams, are bearing the inevitable bitter fruit such dopey schemes were always destined to bring those who tried them. The normally politically apathetic American people, seeing their comfortable, secure lives threatened and tired of being insulted by liberal fools who sneer at traditional American values such as patriotism, religious conviction and marriage and seeing the nation's economy heading for a meltdown as Obama and the Democrats spend recklessly, revolted....peacefully but firmly and in large numbers. They protested (formerly the province of leftists - only) and did so with a degree of civility never seen when leftists protest. More important, they coalesced into what was called the 'TEA party' (Taxed Enough Already) and, last November, were a driving force in electing dozens of new, mostly conservative Representatives, governors and senators.

The Democrats lost their huge majority in the House and just barely hung onto a majority in the senate. President Obama's election was endlessly trumpeted as 'historic', as if that were the only reason to elect him. Obama, who had an approval rating that was around 70% immediately following his election is now in the mid-40's, at best. He is no longer considered as 'brilliant' (except by his sycophants in the leftmedia). Despite Democrat party flunkies writing and uttering constant expressions of sublime confidence, Obama's re-election is no longer assured. In fact, it is far less than assured. Naturally, liberals are floundering around for an answer. They'll never find it. They don't understand the average American but they sure do underestimate him. That will be their downfall: arrogance that breeds over-confidence and a lack of respect for the taxpayer-voter. Obama and his party are headed for a very long fall in the next election - and they deserve it.

Liberals don’t make any sense. Let capitalism run and help is always there. Let socialism run and it must be fought for. Liberals loose quite a few points from the big picture game of life long before stepping in the arena.

It was a problem for the Left re Bush. They spent so much time portraying him to the public as a complete incompetent fool and then - before the eyes of the world - they lost again and again to this so called ‘dunce’. They couldn’t defeat the ‘dunce’ and that didn’t make them look good or feel good. Hence the rage that persists to this day.
They did it again with the Tea Party.

Here’s what it really boils down to: the Tea Party has a strong, simple and honest message that resonates with the American public: the Government spends to much, and finances too much of that spending through borrowing. It’s killing our country and needs to stop. Now.

Progressives don’t have an honest message. They talk in platitudes about things like change and hope ... but wait until AFTER they win elections on those things to let the public knows what it really means. Because if they were to tell the public BEFORE elections, they’d never win. And then they wonder why they get their a**es kicked the next time around.

A corollary to that is that the public, by and large is always going to want STUFF. Until they know how much its going to cost them. Hey, bacon-wrapped filet mignon three times a week? Great - bring it on! What, it’s going to cost me $80? No way! Progressives have a proven track record of overpromising stuff, but then waiting until after elections (because they’d never win elections beforehand ...) to tell people that they’ll actually have to PAY for it (in some way or another).

The liberal movement was ALWAYS a minority movement. People forget that even in it's hay-day (the 60’s and early 70’s) during the height of the civil rights movement ... the liberals were taking a BEATING at the polls.

You would think from reading history books today that liberals took to the streets by the millions and took over the country during the civil rights movement. NOTHING could be further from the truth. After all those those antiwar marches... after all the counter culture protests, the rock n roll, long hair, ect, ect.... after all that ... Nixon DESTROYED them with a 49 state sweep.

Let me repeat that, at the HEIGHT of their power, liberals got swept by supposedly the most hated man in America at the time in a FOURTY NINE (49) 4 tee 9 !!! state sweep.

Let's hope the Tea Party doesn't forget to give the GOP something to ponder too.

The growth and success of the Tea Party can be described as a reaction by the majority of Americans to the leftist lurches of a minority of Americans. The very small population-wise leftist Democrats have succeeded in imposing their will on a generally conservative America. They have succeeded because in part they have managed to convince many conservative Dems that they are getting a dirty deal by rich, conservative Republicans. The leftists have convinced these gullible and ignorant Dems that life in the U.S. has not been fair for them. They would have a lot more wealth if not for the greedy, rich Republicans. But pols like Obama, the leftist’s dream pol, have been unable to deliver the goods. Nevertheless, the leftist scheme of soaking the “rich” i.e. all Republicans remains a dream. The non-elite Dems keep swallowing the koolaid.
