While I watched an arrogant Obama report that bin Ladin had been killed, I couldn't help think how timely this was for the boy socialist. The media and Obama said the awesome job of our special forces had to wait for exactly the right momment to go. When all the pieces where in place. Obama knows that America is throwing up his socialist agenda. Was this the right moment for Obama also? We shall see if this incident pulls his bacon out of the fire. Maybe temporarily, but this changes nothing.
Peculiar timing. If Obama ordered the go ahead on Friday why did they wait until Monday morning just before the 9th Circuit is about to take up his NBC case. Also the release of Corsi’s new book. HMMM......
I'd expect to see a boost in Obama's Rasmussen and Gallup daily tracking numbers -- but nothing permanent.
The price of oil is up right now, 12 hours after the announcement. If employment improves significantly while the price of gasoline goes down, Zero's baseline numbers should improve. But I think that's like him managing 2 holes-in-one in a row. It's possible, but it's unlikely.

U.S. warns of anti-American violence after bin Laden’s death

WASHINGTON — The State Department early Monday put U.S. embassies on alert and warned of the heightened possibility for anti-American violence after the killing of al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden by American forces in Pakistan.
The department issued a worldwide travel alert shortly after President Barack Obama late Sunday announced bin Laden’s death in a U.S. military operation. The department warned of an “enhanced potential for anti-American violence given recent counterterrorism activity in Pakistan.”
It continued: “Given the uncertainty and volatility of the current situation, U.S. citizens in areas where recent events could cause anti-American violence are strongly urged to limit their travel outside of their homes and hotels and avoid mass gatherings and demonstrations.”
The alert said U.S. embassy operations would continue “to the extent possible under the constraints of any evolving security situation.” It noted that embassies and consulates may temporarily close or suspend public services, depending on conditions. AP
All night long, I’ve seen threads and replies on how OBL’s death will GUARANTEE Obama’s re-election.

The bottom line is if we have 9% plus unemployment, gas at $4 a gallon, food prices going through the roof in November 2012 it won’t mean jack that Bin Laden was killed on May 1, 2011. He will lose the election.

I don’t doubt that bin laden is dead but I think it happened several years ago. There was value in keeping him alive as a mythical beast.

Obama has done nothing but threaten the military with budget cuts, and change the rules of engagement that actually make it more difficult to accomplish something like this. Over time, it will be realized that the US Military did this IN SPITE OF having Obama as CIC.
I will be surprised if he gets a 20 point jump. About 42-44% of the U.S. population hates him. He may get a 10 pt. jump. That will be his peak and he will have nowhere to go from now until November. Just wait until families start planning summer vacations, and find that in Obama’s American they can’t afford them.
I won’t take that bet but it’s a good bet though. But based on the tone of your post, it’s like you already accepted defeat and in your subconscious would love another Obama 2nd term.
