The Casey Anthony trial is on. You can’t expect us to pay attention to boring things like Iran or the economy.

The media have recently been so preoccupied with a congressman's photograph of himself in his underwear that there has been scant attention paid to the fact that Iran continues advancing toward creating a nuclear bomb, and nobody is doing anything that is likely to stop them.

Proof positive that the likes of Weiner do NOT belong in government and having Free Republic available is mandatory to maintaining our freedom.

Democrats and the MSM are on a slow serial killing spree of our freedoms.

I changed the channel on FOX News on Saturday, because all they had on was the trial, even after the court was postponed until today. I watched instead old western movies on AMC and Encore Westerns

Our troops haven't come home from Iraq, they were shifted to Afghanistan. Turkey's about to invade Syria, which will tie down their army for years, probably, and piss off the Iranian mullahcracy, while ingratiating the Turks with the US.

The House of Saud has the Yumpin' Yemeni problem (Yemen's population is about the same as Saudi Arabia's) plus their homegrown Shiite problem, uncertainty in their relationship with Egypt, Bahrain's Shiites, Iraq's Shiite majority regime, meanwhile Qatar's bankrolling and leading the "Arab Spring", the fellow monarchs in Morocco and Jordan are giving ground and under stress, Somalia's factions (some of which are funded by the Saudis) are getting chewed up (unexpectedly) by the African Union-supported gov't and each other...

I don’t blame you. I get my news on line where read what I feel is important and read more than one side of any issue.

Our biggest problem is that we have so many ignorant, moronic, selfish, and ill-informed voters.

It is my opinion that voting is a responsibility and should be treated much the same as driving. Therefore, every citizen who wishes to have the right to vote should pass the same written test that legal immigrants take for citizenship.

Several of the chatters in the room were I chat are also addicted to it. Some of them have condemned the mother of Casey Anthony because she testified that it was she who did the search for chloroform. The pundits believe she testified that she did it, because she wants to save her daughter.
