The reason why I clarify the differences between this and ‘real’ amnesty is because ... while I understand some may want to call it ‘amnesty’ to increase the outrage over this Obama act (non-enforcement) we all don't like, if we were to press the argument that what Obama is doing IS the same as amnesty, then that COULD be used by amnesty RINOs as a argument for REAL amnesty (aka reform) which would be even worse.

That point wasnt directly to you as you pointed out the differences between amnesty and Obama’s non-enforcement as I did. It was to others on the ping list that wondered why they werent the same things.

I did a search of amnesty threads in early 2007 and found that RINOs here regularly used term ‘Sham-nesty (meaning Bush not enforcing immigration laws) as an argument to promote new legal Bush/McCain amnesty laws, seems like stupid logic still. Obviously Obama is using a similar strategy as Bush on this :”If you want it fixed tell congress to pass immigration reform”

If I had a genie in a bottle I would have Republicans go out and make a huge issue of illegals and the Democrat's plans for them relating it to economic and fiscal issues(getting them addicted to the welfare state) , which are the only issues the general voter 'seems' to care about right now. The RINO party is absolutely terrified of pro-amnesty Hispanics and how Democrats would whip them up into a frenzy against them as they did in NV with Harry Reid , calling Republican racists that hate Hispanics. Democrats will always respond to Republican's talking about the above with :”Undocumented Hispanics don't want welfare like you accuse them of, they just want to work to become part of the American dream “ which to Democrats means addicted to welfare, but they wont admit it outright.

There is something afoot that is much bigger than an assault on the 2nd Amendment. I'm sure that is a part of it but we're looking at a plan that spans the globe and is meant to alter the political and economic structures of nearly every nation in the world. I'm sure that idea is not news to you but we have to keep the bigger picture in mind when looking at any single issue such as immigration policy. The leftists and Islamofascists have a much more integrated plan in effect than we ever imagined before.

The vast majority of people will hate it if they can see it. We just have to keep working to expose it.
