To some Virginians, “Sic semper tyrannis” has very real meaning.

Thank God someone is providing constant marrow and calcium to Boehner’s b/c Boehner’s spine is turning to Jello...

“Boehner has been forced to contend not just with a fractious band of freshmen who would rather risk economic catastrophe than give ideological ground,”

Thats it, it is the republicans who have put our economy at risk. I am so glad Time cleared that up for me, I thought the Dems were in charge the last 2 years.

“a fractious band of freshmen who would rather risk economic catastrophe than give ideological ground”

If there is anyone who could be charged with “risking economic catastrope rather than give ideological ground” it is the sorry Marxist punk in the White House, not the Tea Party freshmen congressman who are trying to keep us from going over the cliff.

One more example of why Time is moribund.

The GOP lead by RINOs like Mitch McConnell (R) in the Senate will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. This Yahoo/AP article discusses how Mitch McConnell want to give Ubama IMPERIAL POWERS. Mitch McConnell (R) wants Ubama re-elected.

The writers of this story are on crack. Cantor is far from a purist, and the freshmen tea partiers are trying to save the country from economic ruin, not ‘risk ... catastrophe’. Duh.

Don’t give Cantor all the credit.
If the Tea-Party did not exist, Bonehead and “The Gobbler” Mcconnell would have caved long ago. They still may cave, but make no mistake, the RINO’s will pay a very heavy price if they do.

The days of caving without paying a HEAVY price are long gone.

“The politics that swept him into the speakership were good for a midterm election; they’re tough for governing”

What a pantload!

This is like saying that the urges that led one to impregnate a woman do not prepare one to be a good husband and father. GROW UP! This is not a time for “Governing”, this is a time for acting and doing what you promised to do when we sent you there, and created a Republican majority in the House.

Stop crying and do your job!

If Boehner is playing a rope-a-dope strategy, he certainly has gotten Soebarkha Sutoro to make some public statements showing lack of faith in Social Security payments that will bring every SS recipient—including Democrats—into an un-erasable deep distrust of Obama.

“...without providing a dime in savings through closing special-interest giveaways,” says the senior Democratic aide...”

Wanna know what a “special-interest giveaway” is to these communist clowns?

It’s your mortgage interest deduction, it’s writing off your charitable deductions, it’s anything that leaves another nickel in your pocket and NOT DEPENDENT ON THE GOVERNMENT FOR YOUR WELL BEING!!!!!

Rush predicted we’d see a slew of articles claiming Reoublican infighting and deep spolits within the party. Coming from Time, I’d say he’s correct. Waiting for his take on McConnels proposal .... it may be a master stroke of triangulation..or not. I’m still of open mind. 0bama owns this mess, every bit of it.
