Police sources tell TV2 Mr Breivik uploaded an English-language video to YouTube just hours before the bomb went off. In the over 12-minute video, which the broadcaster calls ‘mainly anti-Marxist and anti-Islamic propaganda’, (readers will have to register with YouTube to watch the video) he calls for a war against both, and compares himself with a knight. Mr Breivik used to be a member of the 'Knights Templar', today an order within the Masonic Movement, has been excluded from the Masonic Order.
Mr Breivik also published a 1,517-page manifest the same day as the attacks, where he alleges Oslo Muslims have assaulted, threatened, or tried to rob him ‘just’ eight times between 15 and 21 years old.
Claiming the first was when some Pakistanis tried to rob him at a concert, this was only averted because, “luckily, I knew one the members of the hard-core Pakistani A-gang, who said I was under his protection.”
Mr Breivik alleges teargas made his attacker think twice during another attempted assualt.
“I always have it with me when I am out late,” he writes.
In the manifest, he also claims his friends have been seriously attacked, and on one occasion raped, mourning over the fact that “they have transformed my beloved Oslo into a multicultural shithole.”
“Our majorcitieswillbedestroyedas long as multiculturalism is allowed tobe theprevailingideology.”
Regarding Friday’s attacks, Mr Breivik writes he began planning them nine years ago. He was an active member of the Far-Right Progress Party’s youth movement (FpU) at the time.
The document also reveals he lead a double life and spent 80 days preparing the bomb. Using anabolic steroids in the weeks and months prior to the attacks, he increased his weight from 86 to 93 kilos over a six-week period.
“I have never been stronger than I am today,” he wrote.
Moreover, Mr Breivik took a mixture of ephedrine, caffeine, and aspirin as a stimulant to raise his stamina.
In the 1,500-page detailed account of his political leanings, attacks, type of equipment and choice of targets, he states, “We must convinceourenemiesthatthere is no hiding place. We shall come after every one ofthem, if not todaythentomorrow, or in 10, 30 or 50years.Wewillneverforgetwhatthey have done and whatthey continue to do. Itis ourresponsibility to stop it.”
The attacks have left 92 people dead so far, 85 on Utøya and 7 in Oslo. At today’s press conference, police confirm there are still dead bodies lying in the government headquarter ruins. 97 people have also been injured, 10 of them seriously.
“All my friends can attest to that I would never hurt a fly,” writes Mr Breivik, claiming he has only provoked a conflict once in his life.
I seem to have woken up on the wrong side of nonsense this morning. Nothing’s jiving with reality. This guy didn’t kill any muslims, did he?
I’m still trying to figure out why we’re allowing the media to internationalize what this guy did.
I think the guy was afraid to attack any moslems. Afraid they might kill him, I guess. So he attacked his own sheeple instead. Easier targets.

Norway had become, that he in effect became one of them, and
perpretrated the kind of act the West fears could happen at any time FROM RADICAL ISLAMIC JIHADISTS. He kills innocent children whose only “crime” may have been that they were part of a camp that hosted a “pro-Palestinian” event earlier? Genocide of course is a horror and a crime against humanity, and this is as extreme an example of it as the Mumbai attacks, but for all “practical purposes” they are exactly alike. This guy should have known that his most radical of radical acts will probably only give Islamic radicals an even stronger hand in Norway. So he’s done a good half of their work for them.

I think he tried to strike at what he perceived as the cause (decadent elites) rather than the symptom (hostile immigrant population) of national deterioration. Thus he attacked leftist elites via their children, sort of like zapping the Komsomol which is vulnerable rather than the Politburo which is not vulnerable.
Just speculating here, and still not persuaded one guy could have done all of this, or that he is what he portrays himself to be.

It's not fear, it's objective. The guy had political motives, so he attacked the politicians where he felt he could hurt them the most. Shooting up a mosque will kill individual Muslims, but it won't affect any political change. In fact, it might spur sympathy and bring the opposite.
The shooter's logic, to generously apply the term, seems to be to attack the cause (liberal decision makers in the government) not the effect (increased Muslim immigration and multi-culturalism).
All I know is that most of the european right isn’t even on the same ideological planet as the American right and getting defensive about this only helps our own nutjob left.
This guy could have gone either way and the result would have been the same.
Good guess. I know you can’t tell whether or not someone is insane just by looking at him — except in the case of Jared Loughner.
The MSM is definitely portraying this Norwegian killer as loony, but is loony itself and not too trustworthy.
It’d be interesting to use some statistical software to make an average portrait or rendition of the elitists in the MSM. Wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out looking like Loughner.

That makes sense. I’m still wondering if the man had a few stripped gears upstairs. Given the multitude of political parties in other countries it’s hard to figure out what’s going on at times. No one is standing around handing out programs.
Good analysis. Just think of it... Set off a big bomb and kill a bunch of innocent people there, while far away simultaneously attacking and murdering a bunch of helpless kids marooned on a little island. It takes an unbelievably evil mind to dream up something like that. It seems that something more is going on than one guy's simple hatred of muslims.
