A group of atheists has filed a lawsuit to stop the display of the World Trade Center cross at a memorial of the 9/11 terror attacks.

I think actually, yes. They appear to have a religious ferver for this.
The TWC belongs to the Port Authority of NY & NJ, which is a quasi govermental agency with police powers on its premises. It receives money from NY and NJ taxpayers and its leadership is overseen by the governors of NY & NJ.That being said, the PA provides a chapel at JFK.Its police dept has a department chaplain. The PA makes no claim as to the status of the cross, only that it is important to the families of many of the lost,many of the survivors and many of those who worked the recovery.As such, its presence is altogether fitting and proper.
These people are vicious, evil, intolerant monsters.
The rest of us - the overwhelming majority of Americans who follow Judaeo-Christian beliefs, have OUR right infringed EVERYTIME these vicious iconoclasts impose their will upon us.
In addition to the first Amendment stating their shall be no estbalishment of religion, it ALSO clearly states that their shall be NO INFRINGEMENT of religion - which is exactly what these intolerant monsters are doing.
A close perusal of our founding fathers, their documents and their views on God and the state clarifies that they NEVER intended for the First Amendment to be employed in this fashion.

Partial solution: Let the Greek Orthodox Church rebuild St. Nicholas Church with as big a dome as they can afford, and a BIG ORTHODOX CROSS on top of the dome!!!!
They should also push the atheists aside, and include the cross that miraculously appeared in the middle of the ruins of the World Trade Center in the Memorial. But the St. Nicholas Orthodox Church cross should be the most visible in the area.
No Ground Zero mosque, either!!!!
Did these people complain when the Empire State Building lit up in green for Ramadan?

It isn’t an establishment of a “Church” to put up a cross, so there is no violation.
Putting up a cross is no violation—what “church” is being established????—it is necessary for freedom OF religion in the public square.
The establishment clause has had that Marxian misapplication so that there is no reason and logic to it—as is all Marxist ideology—The Big Lie.
The establishment of ideology to the level of “religion” is also at fault—original documents would NEVER allow “Wiccan” or other pagan or Atheism to be classified as “religion” and would give it NO rights according to religious rights.
It is what has been done to the term—Religion—(making it meaningless like Marxism does to all words—(marriage) which is destroying the whole intent and meaning of the phrase —the freedom of religion shall NOT be ....

Just the way black interest groups do not really care about blacks or women’s groups don’t really care about women or PETA doesn’t really care about animals, atheists don’t really care about the “separation of church and state”.
