New leukemia treament exceeds 'wildest expectations'
NBC News ^ | 8/10/11 | Robert Bazell

Posted on 08/10/2011 1:39:34 PM PDT by Nachum

Doctors have treated only three leukemia patients, but the sensational results from a single shot could be one of the most significant advances in cancer research in decades. And it almost never happened. In the research published Wednesday, doctors at the University of Pennsylvania say the treatment made the most common type of leukemia completely disappear in two of the patients and reduced it by 70 percent in the third. In each of the patients as much as five pounds of cancerous tissue completely melted away in a few weeks, and a year later it is still gone

same goes out to you, FRiend, so glad you’re with us!!

I didn’t have leukemia but my regimen of chemo and surgeries were brutal, made it seem like the “cure” was worse than I could imagine (except that he prognosis was definitely fatal for me without treatment).....

Hope there will be more and more survivors soon, although of course immortality is not in the cards, so we all have to go from something....

The FDA should approve this immediately. Leukemia is almost always fatal. They make no sense when they hold off approving a drug for something that is deadly.

Because if it works, it would eliminate the Billions of dollars made from current treatment programs. Not to mention the impact on begging for research dollars, private and federal.

Bingo!!!

Leukemia is a fungus, it was noted years ago that mass doses of Diflucan, and Nystatin and one other anti fungal caused “spontaneous remission”. Nice that they finally acted on it.

In another note, high doses of omega 3 does the same thing with breast cancer for the same reasons.

Trying to find link, but with little success. The combo may have been Fluconzole, Nystatin and (?)itraconazole. Not sure on last one. All three were given in large doses to three children that were suffering thrush in chemo, and not only did it clear up the thrush, but all three simultaneously suffered spontaneous remission of Leukemia.

The second was a study done in England where they already have Obama care in place. Many hundreds of women who were diagnosed with “terminal” cancer were put on a study. (There it is almost always terminal, as by the time you get to the cancer treatment through the red tape its way too late.) All of them were given a bran muffin every morning, half of them had flax seed oil added to the muffin half plain. Of the plain muffins, 100% died, of the ones with flax seed oil, 60% “spontaneously remitted all traces of cancer”.

Flax seeds are 78% Omega 3. The problem is an imbalance of Omega 6 to Omega 3. In grass fed beef, the ratio is 1:1 in grain fed beef (not finished, but feed lot cattle) it is 12:1 Omega 6.

I suspect the Cancer industry is more of a hindrance than a help. Spending Billions on the known wrong angle is worse than spending nothing.

Now this is the odd question of the day, If chemotherapy drugs are known carcinogen’s, and radiation is a knows carcinogenic, why do they use them both to “cure” cancer? Is it because it costs six figures?

Or before collecting. That is the very reason for raising the age for benefit collection, i.e., more people die before getting to collect any of what they put in. Heck, raise the age for social security to 90 and the fund is in great shape.

Please FRiend, never apologize for a good news ping. I have a friend fighting the battle for her life on another cancer front, and good news is scarce.

May God bless and strengthen us.

This is just incredible news!!! Hope it holds, gets refined, and works even better shortly.

It reminds me of one of the Star Trek movies where Dr. McCoy gives an elderly lady a pill to cure kidney disease.

Shades of the future...NOW!

The US....world's leader in medicine and medical practice...don't doubt it for a minute!

Fine, I do not give medical advice. Just repeated two different medical studies. The information was from medical research. What you do with it is up to you.

Google is your friend. And by your manner, you need friends.

Strange, when pointed to a change in lifestyle that could be linked to cancer you prefer poison, and surgery and want everyone else to go that way too.

very strange...

To me the best way to beat cancer is not to get it, and if I did get it, find out why and what it is. To take the word of a Doctor that says they want to cut you up but don't know what cancer is or what causes it vs finding a Doctor that at least thinks they understand the cause of the issue is difficult to understand.

Did you know that fungus will split the DNA in a cell and glue it to its outside to camouflage it from the immune system? Did you know that triggers the test for malignancy?

No?! Why not? I suggest you do your own homework for a change.

idiot, you know nothing about the kind of cancer I had, which has no known environmental or lifestyle causes despite extensive research

My point is that that your ignorance is dangerous.

“Cancer” refers to a vast variety of illnesses of many different types of causes and pathologies.

I hope for a day when chemo, radiation, and/or surgeries will be unnecessary for any case.

But to jump on the “it’s all lifestyle and modern medicine is dangerous” bandwagon, as you would have people do, is pure imbecility.

I researched my own case extensively before, during, and after. There was no rational basis for choosing anything except the best offerings of modern medicine which saved my life. Had I followed the idiotic kinds of advice serve up, I’d have died 7-8 years ago, thank you.

Your ignorance is dangerous, to yourself and to anyone who listens to you.

re: "I suggest you do your own homework for a change."

What you are saying is farcical in relation to my case and countless other cases. You have no idea what you are talking about when you generalize your comments to "cancer" overall. No idea at all.

You speak like the kind of zealot that has killed people I know, good people who took idiotic advice to scorn "modern medicine" and the "cancer industry" etc. The myriad doctors I dealt with know far more on the subject than you or I will ever know.

I suggest you learn to recognize your own vast ignorance and not pronounce on "cancer" with such mis-placed certitude.

and no, I don't begin to think that people shouldn't take more steps for healthier lifestyles, or that people diagnosed with any form of "cancer" automatically need chemo or radiation or surgery. Unlike you I know the subject is vast and varied, that there are myriad causes and effects involved, and that every patient and case must be looked at closely as a unique instance. There are many reasons someone might not want or need chemo or surgery or radiation or bone marrow transplants etc. All I'm saying is that there are many cases NOT covered by your blanket pronouncements.... and that following your "advice" would get many people killed. Yes, killed by your bad advice.

I recognize the complexities and difficulties of these matters. You do not, and should not pronounce upon what you do not understand.

This is great news. Using a virus to target neoplastic cells was hypothesized almost thirty years ago and now someone has found a way to do it.
