“I think he may be the one!”

Well, speaking as a girl here, I’m just feeling I’ve got to get this out there, on the record.

He is VERY handsome, he’s like TV star handsome.

OK, see I said TV, not movie star.

But he’s a good looking guy. And sorry, today that matters.

Not that any of the others running are bad looking, and hubby’s got a major crush on Bachmann, but this one’s a hottie.

Maybe Perry will get the nomination and go on to win the Presidency...

And then 4 years later we'll all be here on Freerepublic going "How could we be 28 Trillion in debt? Rick Perry said the right things... 80 million illegals, how could that be? he wore a COWBOY hat... Fifteen new Federal Govt Agencies? I don't understand... he had prayer meetings and everything....

We had high hopes for another "tough talking Texas Conservative" not too long ago.

I haven’t heard anyone talk like this except Palin and a little bit from Bachmann.

Problem is the attack dogs from the Palin crowd

Let's be very clear. This is a very vocal, visible and enthusiastic group on THIS board. It is NOT reflective of the electorate at large.

I have no problem with Palin doing what she does well. I do have a serious problem with seeing her as a viable choice to defeat Obama.

I am on record here, fwiw, that she will endorse Perry. We shall see about that, I know.

Yup, his speech is very good. Plain spoken and to the point.

I can’t help it, but as I’m listening to Perry speak, I’m hearing George Bush. He sounds just like George Bush. Just as long as he doesn’t act like George Bush, I’m ok with that. But the intonation is eery.

CAIR (pardon the pun) to provide a link? What has he done to give aid to radical Islam?

He is VERY handsome. But what comes through most is that he’s so AMERICAN, and he LOVES his country!

Bush bots must be needing a new prince to cover with a halo. No thanks. I’ve seen this story before and had hoped it had withered away for good. Guess not. Que the “Jaws” theme.

I’m watching, but like Reagan and Bush Jr., he supports Amnesty.

Just announced. I want him to sign a “no path to legal status for illegal aliens” pledge and that he will push for the Sensenbrenner Immigration Reform Bill. His record of giving in-state tuition for illegal aliens needs to be addressed as a mistake.

I’m delighted at this news. Unlike many people here, I don’t hate Mitt Romney, but also recognize that far too many conservatives would not support him. In order to beat Obama and begin to roll back the damage O has done, we need every possible person on the political Right to join together next year. I think more of us can unite behind Perry than any other candidate at this point.

My "snapshot" in time opinion....today...is, if Palin doesn't run, I'd probably pick Perry because he has the best shot at knocking out Romney.

The danger to the conservatives is not who WE vote for, but who the "crossover" democrats vote for in the GOP primaries...like they did last time.

Obama is a big loser, so they have to pick the weakest link in our field, like they did McCain last time.

They've got us busy arguing about a big field of contenders, distracting us away from their hi-jinks, just like last time.

UNLESS the conservatives in this country come out in massive numbers, the MSM and the democrats will again pick our "candidate" for us....the weakest link.

Let the buyer VOTER beware....

We will not accept a future that is less than our past.

We will not accept our present circumstance we change them.

cair supports him. That leaves me out.

I wouldn't put it pas CAIR to put that out there just to turn off potential voters for Perry.

Don't get me wrong, I am far from being sold on Perry but do think that Perry would trounce Obama.

I know one thing for sure, getting rid of obama is paramount in this election. Four more year of him would be an utter disaster especially considering he would have nothing holding him back and going to the extreme left.

My hope is that we can get more TP members in the House and possibly take over the Senate too.

We'll need it to keep the White House in line.

It's nice to hear someone talk from the heart instead of the teleprompter.

It's nice to see someone look at the audience instead of down upon it.
