The press corps has a mild buzz going about a weekend contretemps ginned up, for publicity's sake, by Sarah Palin's camp, in her ongoing campaign to show how badly she is victimized by the media. The odd thing is that she has been victimized by the media, horribly so, and many of us (myself included, in several posts after the Gabby Giffords shooting) have rushed to her defense -- so she doesn't need to gin up controversies out of thin air. But that's exactly what she and her team did this past weekend.

I post nothing bad about her family. I like her family and I don’t dislike her on a personal basis. It is political. I don’t like her association with McCain. Never have and never will. She had a perfect opening to slam the old jackass and she never said a thing. After she campaigned for him at the Tuscon Tea Party while he stood there smiling, he knocked those people and he deserved to be told off. He IS one of those good ole boys she claims she dislikes.
I was a big fan of hers when she first came on the scene. She disappointed me resigning like she did. I always felt it would have been far better to have just said she is resigning to run for President than all the other stuff that only made it worse.
I didn’t like the path she took with the celeb image either. I expected a serious approach at the very least.
I don’t like her support for the LOST Treaty, actually writing a letter to Stevens to vote to ratify that Treaty.
I don’t like her support Title 9 and the feminist claptrap.
I don’t like her cryptic response to the repeal of DADT.
I don’t like her unclear and confusing immigration positions. She stated on Greta’s show that she agreed with McCain. This was after the election.
To me it has been a game for her ever since.
I could go on, but you get the idea.
Now, I have been honest with you.
I also don’t like it when you always threaten people that don’t agree with you.
I post many positive things about candidates or issues I am for. So your statement is false.
There are many other issues on this site to respond to. On many of those threads, people who argue over who will be the candidate get along just fine. I don’t carry the disagreement around with me.
It is a big country out there and this site isn’t always the best reflection of the massive electorate.
I like Bachmann, yet I doubt that she or Palin will end up the nominee. I have also said that I will vote for whoever gets the nomination. After the primaries are over we have a choice. Our person or Obama.

A good reporter? When it comes to covering Palin, I’m not even sure what that means anymore. I’m not entirely sure there is such a thing.
You have to be able to listen to reporters and then make up your own mind. Of course, I'm not one to talk. A while back my wife tuned into the network news in another room. I had to close the door because I couldn't listen to the so-called objective reporting.
Read it. As thought there is any kind of difference between dialing the phone herself and an aid dialing and handing her the phone. Why that just changes everything, not.

I’ve been wondering about that. I’m new here, been reading for just a couple years. I used to come here to get my head straight on issues, kind of like why I listen to Rush and Mark. But lately a lot of these threads have been just plain depressing.
