Beck Furious After Boehner Doesn’t Allow Congressmen To Attend Rally.
mediatie ^ | 08/17/11 | Jon Bershad

Today on his radio show, [Glenn] Beck let loose with a torrent of anger and frustration at an issue he described as having been going on for a few weeks now. Before he began, Beck said he would post what he was going to say online, thus forever disproving anyone who thought he was a “shill” for the Republican Party.

Considering the amount of venom he then let out towards the GOP establishment, he can consider his point made.

It all started with a conversation with Rep. Joe Walsh who described sadly the fact that House Speaker Boehner’s office had denied his and other congressmen’s requests to attend Beck Israel rally in an official capacity as a fact-finding mission. Beck maintained his composure during the call with Walsh, offering the Illinois Congressman a free GBTV membership to watch from there. However, you could hear just how frustrated he was with the whole situation as he wondered allowed if Boehner wasn’t just punishing Tea Party Republicans for not voting for his debt plan.

Then, once Walsh was off the line, Beck really got into it:

“Speaker Boehner, you should be ashamed of yourself. The Republican Party should be ashamed of themselves. They don’t have to attend my event. Let them come to our biggest ally and our only friend in the Middle East in their hour of need. They don’t have to attend my event! In fact, I’ll ban them. Does that make you happy? Let Congress come here! You should be ashamed of yourself for playing politics. That’s what it is, Boehner, and you know it. The Republican Party sickens me.”

What is this crap that they have to “request” from Boner to attend. Has the Tea Party been co-opted already?

Boehner should have encouraged them to go on their own, if he was not going to allow them to go on the Government dime.

Well then they can go unofficially then.

I don’t fell comfortable with congresspeople going to rallies in foreign nations under official auspicious even if it is a good cause.

The Royal Congress of 12 bill passed, did it not?

Yes. They are already beaten by this feeble metrosexual quisling.

I don’t get it....?? Did these congress critters want their trip paid for by the taxpayers?? And, Boehner said no? Or, maybe I should ask....where is this rally being held?

He wasn’t kicked off FOX. He left on his own which left FOX scrambling to fill the spot. I think they called his bluff and he wasn’t. In fact when he started the show he made it clear that he wasn’t going to do it for long.

I am kinda curious about what kind of ratings “The 5” is getting.

“I don’t fell comfortable with congresspeople going to rallies in foreign nations under official auspicious even if it is a good cause.”

I agree. I love Beck and I love that he is doing this. But why on earth should I, as a taxpayer, pay to have congress critters go over there on a “fact finding” mission?

What facts are they going to find out?

Hey, I’d like to go to Beck’s rally in Israel, I love Israel, but nobody is going to pay for me to go.

Boehner’s right on this one, sorry!

I agree. We may all agree with Israel, but tomorrow (literally) could be Reid and his favorite leftists going to do the same thing in North Korea or Venezuela. It's just not a good precedent to set.

Joe Walsh can most certainly go on HIS OWN NICKLE. Glenn Beck should be ashamed of himself for misrepresenting this. Glenn Beck (Mr. Taxed Enough Already) is throwing a hissy fit because the speaker won’t use tax payer money to promote Glenn Becks rally in Israel?

All would be forgiven if Boehner called congress into session to address Obama's de facto amnesty, an extra-Constitutional usurpation of his congressional authority.

Boehner's a tiger when whipping his own party members in line. Too bad he can't conjure up the same level of testosterone when dealing with the Democrats.

You couldn't tell by the way they caved on the debt increase fiasco? The majority of these new congress folks are not worth the effort or faith we placed in them. I feel very let down and hope all those who voted for that mess are primaried. Once again we were simply lied to and screwed over. As far as that asshat Boehner goes I really can't even discuss that POS without my blood pressure exploding so I'll stop here.

official capacity as a fact-finding mission.

That's what did it and I can't say that I disagree with Boehner on that. Joe Lieberman is going but he's not under Boehner rules.

I'm guessing they can go but they will have to pay their own way.
