Watched it last night, Thought that it was "kind-of " interesting?
Same here. I’ll watch it if there’s nothing else on, but I won’t go out of my way to watch.
How about giving us the premise of the show and summary of what you saw last night.
I’ve seen a few. I do find it interesting, especially the marketing science behind things like layout and flow. All of these do have a consistent message that you have to work for success.
Spike TV has picked up a ten-episode run of Bar Rescue, a Kitchen Nightmares-type show in which host Jon Taffer tries to turn around failing bars.
Have no idea what you’re talking about.
Bar consultant goes into HORRIBLY ran Bars nationwide and does his magic and shows the owners what they are doing wrong and “fixes” things.
Simply put, failing bars go under the knife by a business expert to save them. Kind of like Kitchen Nightmares for bars.
Then carry your BUTT down the road.
So my question is this, do these bars sign up for the opportunity for Bar Rescue to come help them? Or are they picked at random?
The reason I ask, is if your bar is failing, and you ask for help like this show to come in and tell you what is wrong and how to fix it, why in heaven’s name are you going to argue with the people trying to help?
Some episodes I like, some I just am positive that in three months, the revamped bars are still failures.
It’s a pretty good show...
Funny you should ask?! I did by default because with a half million stations on last night that is where I ended up. It was ok. Better than listening to everyone talk about Irene. The show reminded me of the one with Gordon Ramsey when he visited bad resturants. If nothing else important on, I would watch again.
Yep.
If you can’t rehab the owners, any structural/cosmetic changes are for naught.
I don’t think that I would go THAT far but it was “defaultingly””reasonable”.
Anone that is thinking about getting into the food or bar industry can maybe pick-up some good tips from this guy.
Oh sorry..I should have specified...I’ve been in the bar business for a few years...my aunts owned a bar...
Went down the tubes due to many ciscumstances as portrayed in the show...
Bah..typo
One thing that I thought was CLEAN-UP the DAMN KITCHEN!
I think the drama is written in to the “script.”
Caught it part way through last night.
Interesting to a point, but it must have same old writers as all the other reality type shows with unnecessary personnel drama plot that only takes away.
You have some connection?
