As Washington twists itself into a pretzel with convoluted plots and plans to "create jobs", as usual they miss the forest for the trees. As we have always pointed out, the most obvious solution to many of our financial woes is a simple one: deal with illegal immigration. And with jobs it is no exception. For every illegal with a job there is an American without one.
Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) gets it. He has a "surefire" plan to create jobs in America. And unlike Obama, he doesn't need 40 minutes to explain it.

I am not sure there are enough Americians left willing to work jobs now held by immigrants. I guess this would be one way to find out!
That is the first thing that should be done regarding jobs. Getting rid of all the illegals would also save tens of billions a year in expenses for services that states are forced to provide for them.

Shhhh - stop bringing up the 800 pound gorilla sitting right in the middle of the room that nobody wants to talk about. It feels much better just to talk about “kicking them out” and “building a fence” - no need to discuss the problem right in our own backyard.
My wife used to work for a major retailer. In the early 2000’s the Bush administration put a rule into welfare (since rescinded by zero) that everyone had to work some small amount (it was some odd number, something like 108 hours every two years).
The company my wife worked for got federal money to help hire the “hardcore unemployed.” This was $8 an hour, to work in an air conditioned store with carpeted floors, and simply put clothing back into the racks in the correct size order. They could never attract more than about 60% of the amount of people they needed, and most of the ones that showed up left after a couple of days.
But I'm certain those same folks will be HAPPY to stand in a hot dusty field and pick sugar beets for $4 and hour.

The 800 pound gorilla in the room is the number of illegitimate democrat seats in congress that are created by the mere presence of some 30 million illegals. (You do the math some 650,000 per congressional district)
Maybe in another ten years or so we’ll have the courage to acknowledge it. It’ll be too late but admitting it is something...I guess.

We have 30 million illegals, that at the bottom line, probably provide more benefit than they do cost.
We have 30 million “hardcore unemployed” that contribute nothing and cost trillions. And they grow in a logarithmic projection.
We can send the 30 million illegals home, but the other 30 million are bankrupting us.
When I was a kid there were hundreds of migrants picking carrots and onions in my area. Today its a lot more mechanized process. There are still some field hands but their numbers are minimal.
Back in the mid 80s I did plenty of rock picking and hay baling.
Forgive me but I’m going to have to laugh at you sadly and walk away. You’re selling out your country and trying to justify it for some reason.

I’m certain you are severely nearsighted. There are probably 20 solutions to that problem that don’t involve illegal immigration. I can think of 3 without even trying.
as for your ridiculous clothing rack anecdote...walmart seems to have no problem keeping clothes on racks. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?
