Ed Rollins, former campaign manager and current "informal adviser" to Rep. Michele Bachmann, told MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell moments ago that Bachmann doesn't have the "ability or the resources" to go beyond Iowa.
Rollins stopped working for the campaign day-to-day earlier this month in a staff shakeup, and criticized her comments on the HPV vaccine last week.
Rollins said Texas Gov. Rick Perry's entrance into the race undercut her campaign, and that she was unprepared for the national stage running as a congresswoman.

Bachmann may get the nomination, but I’m not counting on it.
If she does not, Cain would be better than the rest.
If he does not, we’ll have a big-business, establishment Republican in the WH. Which is cr@p, but whatever.
I haven’t been excited about the Republican brand since Reagan.
Congress is what’s most important, and hopefully we’ll have more real conservatives put there in 2012.
Politicians have NO CLUE as to what to do to help the economy.
Establishment republicans simply want to give tax cuts to big business but leave disgusting unconstitutional regulation and laws in place, since their big business handlers like that.
How many government agencies will be completely eliminated ?
How many cabinet-level departments will be completeyl eliminated ?
Zero.
So the economy will STUMBLE ON, jobs AND CAPITAL INVESTMENT will continue to go mostly overseas.
We’ll keep making deals with arab sheeks.
We’ll keep doing business with communist nations.
Thanks Republicans !
What makes you so sure it’s a guy?
My sentiments exactly...Cain is the real deal
There’s at least two of us then.
It’s funny: every time Rollins embarrasses himself, we say, he finished! And yet - time and time again - somebody hires this twit. Amazing.
-——Bachmann has this coming.-——
The assumption by the masses here is Michelle ( the congress critter, not the wookie) is right and Ed is wrong.
It is more likely that she is a strong minded woman, too strong to be advised, and such a course means she did and said things that caused the money to dry up. Had she listened, she might not be moribund.
Campaigning is all about money...no mon, no fun.
Bachmann (imo) was arrogant. The speeches that I heard all contained barryspeak: I I I I I I I I I I
I will let you have a light bulb
I will promise that gasoline will be 2.00 a gallon etc.
Her reported behavior in Iowa was prima-donna like; I cannot remember who reported that but it wasn’t a left wing rag.
Once the snarky remarks from Rollins about Palin were said, her campaign became a non-issue for me.
btw...how many winning campaigns has Rollins been involved in? Just curious.
More of the same.
Rollins has a wall in his sanctum that is decorated with the heads of Republicans he has taken to defeat.
Regards,
TS
So what, she she she she she? “She” is going to have to do a lot, working in concert with Congress for sure, but still “she” will be busy — to clean up after Obama. For those things that do fall completely into her bailiwick — rolling back vast numbers of obscene Obama EO’s, it really is “she.” And she knows well how OPEC will react to a lot of “drill, baby drill.” They will run to their meetings, swearing in Spanish, Arabic, and God knows what other languages, to agree to vast price cuts.
I don’t really know his win/loss record. It is detailed on this thread elsewhere I think.
But Rollins is out of her picture again. What to worry now?
I read something the other day that her constituents are pissed because of the whole run for the Presidency. Let's face it, she knew full well prior to her re-election, that she was going to toss her hat in the ring for President which is somewhat deceptive isn't it?
Nevertheless, I hope she starts immediately working on REPEALING OBAMA DEATHCARE (among the many other nightmarish regs, laws that have been passed).
Hey, she might be the next Newt Gingrich. That’s not a bad Plan B, especially if November 2012 brings the Senate into scope for the GOP on the coat tails of infuriated “anybody but Obama” voters.
That would be awesome. She definitely has the ability and imo would be outstanding as Madam Speaker.
re: “I guarantee hell end up with another campaign.”
I was thinking the same thing even though his stated reason for leaving MB’s was age and health.
Bachmann is in it for Romney!
Pretty obvious.
She won’t be useless whether she makes it to the top, or remains a voice in Congress. Her district had to be conservative in order to put her there, and probably will not have trouble coming up with another conservative if she makes it to the presidency.
Bachmann expresses a further-right philosophy than Rick Perry, who is lukewarm at best about Romney. Why would she personally want Romney as a running mate? Cain would make more sense.
Is Ed slipping mentally or is this enemy action?
